Runflat tyres have RFT on the sidewall
Or just let the air out and see if they hold up (or go flat....) :)

Re: BMW 120D

Mine's still covered by warranty.

I was thinking of getting the chain/sprockets/guides replaced at 60,000 miles as a normal service item but my expert indy advised me to leave it until it reached 80,000 (it's currently at 52,000).

I change oil and filters every year whether it's due or not.

Re: BMW 120D

120d's (at least my one) have enough low end torque to drive on the clutch alone in traffic.

Autos are hard work for my dodgy knee, always having to use the brake instead of just lifting off a bit (wife has an auto....).

Re: BMW 120D

If you're contemplating lots of motorway use, why do you want a slush-box?

I rarely change gear (from top) on motorways.

Cruise control is a handy option though (can be retro-fitted), especially for SPECS zones.

Who cares about the 2 series Active Tourer. It's only a 2 series by name because all the other numbers were taken.
..... and it hardly sits with the "ultimate driving machine" tag line.

It’s unlikely that I will be making this one! My car is in a bit of a sorry state right now so maybe it’s best I keep her home until she’s been restored to her former glory

If I do pop by it will be a last minute thing. :)
Damaged?

Possibly but not sure.
E90/91 share many common parts with the E8* 1'ers so this should fit fine.

Re: BMW recall

Checking back on the .gov MOT site for my car :-

"As of 11 May 2018 there's an outstanding manufacturer's safety recall on BMW 120 xxxxxx.

Contact a BMW dealership to arrange for repairs."

Update: Rang my dealer - "yes we are swamped at the moment" - booked in for 9th July.

Happy to wait...

I wonder how many more case like this (involving any manufacturer) are out there?
