Remove dent from steering wheel emblem/badge

Post by rusty13 » Sun Sep 18, 2016 5:03 pm

So it's annoyed me for 3 years and I finally fixed it. I took my car into the dealers once and it returned with a big dent right in the centre of the Bmw badge on the steering wheel. BMW denied it and it was a new airbag to fix it so I had to figure this one out in a cheaper manner.

Sadly the badge is not replaceable and is actually integral to the airbag. It splits open when the airbag deploys.

So the fix? A car bodywork dent pulling tab from eBay and a hot glue gun. I got 70% of the dent out in one pull and it took another 10 pulls to get rid of it completely. It's back to being like new now! Very pleased. The glue peels off very easily. Hope this helps someone!
