Any reco's for this?
Collected a pre reg M2 today. Large vulnerable diamond cut wheels!
Dealer wanted £259 for their 3 year policy. I have 30 days to decide hence asking on here.
Never damaged a decent alloy but think peace of mind could be worth it for these wheels.
Do the policies cover whatever wheels are fitted? ie if I had winters on would the policy automatically cover whatever is on it at the time as long as the same size or smaller?
Thx all.

That's interesting.
I'm heading towards an independent insurance policy as probably less anal about original fitment.
Thinking of going 270m wheels rather than the BMW OE 640m for winters.
I'm off on hols for 3 weeks shortly so I'm going to risk the remainder of this winter on the summers as the winter wheels should drop in price later in the year.

Bmw dealer wouldn't cover diamond cut wheels on my M2 so couldn't buy it, check the small print as XWV says
Did you find an alternative?
My salesman thought the BMW policy does cover diamond cut wheels! Though he said they can't guarantee an invisible repair which makes having insurance pretty pointless.
No I didnt, I'm just going to be extremely careful (fingers crossed!!).
The problem with diamond cut is once they are scuffed, water gets under the lacquer and rots them from the inside out. So they always need to be sent away for re-cutting, which means a week without your car. I'm not a fan of them at all.

^^^^You're correct. When I bought my M2 I did consider this insurance, however, when I contacted the insurance provider to specifically ask would a diamond cut repair be carried out they said that they would carry out a local repair and not necessarily carry out a diamond cut repair as that was quite expensive. They also said the repairs carried out should not be visible from four feet away. Needless to say I didn't bother taking out the cover.
