E91 Roofbar rubber inserts?

Where can I get replacement rubber (T-shaped) inserts that slide into the tops of OEM roof bar channel? Any ideas?

Re: Timing chain change?? Where to get it done

Not heard of any N47 engine 2011+ snapping - even according to HonestJohn website, getting noisy but no snappage reports

Re: Timing chain change?? Where to get it done

What makes you think chain is on the way out? 88k isn't really alot of miles to worry the chain yet...150k + maybe pending on history. A noisy N47 chain isn't indicative of the chain about to let go, if it is a noise your hearing. (Just realised I spoke to you about this - just picking up on the pos...

Re: Frameless doors in winter

They look great the frameless windows - but I am really looking forward to not having them on my next car, and going back to normal framed windows - X2 burnt out motors and regulators in the freezing cold, been a few times where I have driven to work with the window not closing properly until heated...

Re: What "spare" oil to take on a long trip 118D

Going to Germany one way about 687Miles according to Google maps so I thought it makes sense to have some refill on hand even though I doubt I'll ever need it but precaution is always better than blindly going. I'll try to check what oil mine has and the next service will be with the 5W40 mine has ...

Re: What

5w40 LL04 all the time - these engines enjoy a thicker oil, quietens them down abit as-well :) Interesting. Opie oils recommended Castrol Edge Titanium 0w-30 FST Fully Synthetic. It's LL04 compatible if I remember correctly. I might try switching to 5w to silence the tractor. Yeah think 0w-30 is BM...

What year car is this? As any E87 2007+ has electronic steering now (so no steering fluid at all)

Re: How's your car doing in the snow?

I agree the UK is so ill prepared for this! We should look at the Germans/Swiss etc, and how they manage - doesn't even make news! I run winters all year and its very much fit and forget for me (not everyone would agree) - snow or rain they are a lot better in most cases in UK. I live in Cheshire ar...

Re: E91 Meaty/Heavy Steering in comparison?

Managed to get a photo of the car in question...looks like a electric rack to me? So don't know where the heavy sensation comes from....? There is no hydraulic fluid or reservoir anywhere...

Re: E91 Meaty/Heavy Steering in comparison?

I think the only ones with proper hydro steering were the 335's, fairly sure ours has electro PAS. Never found my E91 any heavier on the steering than my previous E81 to be fair, the E81 felt slightly lighter due to shorter wheelbase maybe. Interesting - this is heavy when doing parking manoeuvres ...
