Mini One Tyres...dunno what to get

In little dilema (well kind of) Need to replace Mrs MontegoBlue's tyres on her 2009 Mini One. She has X2 Landsails on rear (which her dad bought her last year, this angered me somewhat...) I wouldn't dare put these ditch finders on imo. ..and she has X2 very worn Goodyears (I bought her) on front. S...

Re: Premium fuels - any thoughts?

Only time seen/made difference is on carburettor cars, my classic bug 60's loves the premium stuff.

Re: Engine oil - Advice

G-Force 5w-30 or 40 (made by carlube) from OpieOils.com is what my cars get - LL04 and is around £20 for 5L

Oil is oil just make sure it's changed often, this is what some people forget.

Re: Dangers of Dpf delete without remap...

MOT dangers and there only gonna get worse...wouldn't risk it if I was you.. but, I'm sure you will need to get some coding done for a straight pipe DPF delete...may be wrong of course.

Re: Whistling noise after acceleration?

Normal Turbo spooling down noise in my opinion, it's when it sounds like a siren when spooling up when you should worry.

Re: Tyre size question

Don't be so hard on ES spec, less is more sometimes my 2012 E91 is ES spec, with manual air con and that's it! What else does one need - less to go wrong ;)

Re: E81 Interior Swap Question

Just done this in my E91 tourer (very similar process) its alot easier with someone helping you, as the front drivers and passenger seat is surprisingly heavy, and rather awkward....also would recommend a trim remover tool, cheap on amazon, unless you want to damage your seats using a screwdriver to...

Re: '57 123d - Swirl Flaps! Should I be worried?

its is something that "could happen" just like anything on a car - if your gonna keep the car for a long time, it may be wise?? (yes, any competent mechanic can do the job) 170k is good going, but I would be more worried about other things, not just the timing chain tensioners most people moan about...

Re: Removing and replacing fronts seats E91

Airbags need power to detonate. Battery disconnect, and drain any residual current with the headlights, and that's pretty safe, imo. Thanks Marco, that seems ok to do then, just airbags scare me - no chance of them detonating when ignition fired up when I reconnect everything? im more use to cars w...

Removing and replacing fronts seats E91

Hi, I have purchased a new interior (seats/doorcards) for my BMW E91 2012. Fitted rear bench and seats today, all went in fine. Stalling on the front drivers and passengers...This seems easy enough...but I am a little scared, I don't know why...just airbags etc. So what I have read: - Disconnect bat...

Been looking on eBay... Is there anything like airbags I need to worry about, as cars these days seem to have them e...

Re: N47 Timing chain info thread *QUALITY ENHANCEMENT/RECALL ISSUED* - please read before posting

Ok if it is scare mongering? What will be your comment to the same person if his chain did snap in a few thousand miles? And be honest? Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk Well what would be your comment if he scraps the car at 200k all fine? Personally I see it as a potential issue but I do 20k a...
