Re: X3 M40i

After sitting in one I'd say yes please. The interior is fantastic!

Also, having a baby I'm finding the 140 quite cramped with all the stuff we need to cart around so the X3 40i would be ideal.

Shame it's 50k!

Re: First service quote to Good to be true

I wouldn't ever consider £300 for an oil change as "good"...

Re: Need to sell M140i

Have you explained your situation to BMW finance?

If you're leaving the country they may just take it back and clear the balance as they would struggle to get anything out of you once you've left. Might be worth a try.

I was with Sky last year and this was never mentioned.

Is it a new thing or postcode dependant?

Re: RTTI/Connected drive down?

It happens sometimes, don't worry about it. You'll just have to wait for it to come back online which it always does a few days later.

Re: M240i Bilstein B8 Review

Interesting, I was thinking of the B12 kit but slightly worried about a lower ride height, as I don't usually like the look of a lowered car or the problems it can bring with speed humps. Maybe dampers only is an option. I think the drop is pretty minor with that kit. 10mm I believe. Sent from my S...

Re: M140i Engine Issue - Recovered to Dealer

I've never had any problems with Sytner Sheffield, both BMW or MINI (although we've used MINI more and they're great). However they seem to have dug themselves in to a massive hole with the gearbox issue in another thread and it doesn't reflect well on them at all. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapata...

Re: How do you use your Mx35i/Mx40i? What's your mileage?

I'm only up to 9k in 18 months. I'm only really using it to drive to work 3 times a week at the moment and the odd trip out at the weekend where I can't really use the performance anyway. Now we have a little one I'm wondering if I'd be better getting something cheaper & bigger to fit all the baby c...

405M Style 18's

Hi, Is anyone aware of any companies selling (good quality) replicas of the 405M style wheels in 18"? I'm after the same size as my 436m wheels (225 front / 245 rear) for my 140i. I don't really want 19's, run flats or to pay the monumental cost of the BMW originals. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapa...

Re: Which Bilstein upgrade?

I had the first proper run out last Friday over the hills. It was amazing, so much confidence in the car, even on winter tyres... What I can feel already is how quickly the car settles itself after a bump on the road. Got rid of all the floatiness and even turn in seems to have improved, alt...

Re: BCS Powervalve Exhaust System

With the BCS centre silencer delete pipe (I think there is only one which is non-res), there is no welding. There is one cut in same place where you would cut for mpe and then the midpipe is clamped on (not welded). I'll let Nige confirm if this is accurate, but i researched this bit since I'm look...

Re: BCS Powervalve Exhaust System

I think the MPE makes more difference than people give it credit for. Yes it is still muted inside compared to a stereotypical aftermarket exhaust, but it is noticeably louder than stock. Especially on the outside of the car. That wasn't my experience with the M240i LCi I test drove.I didn't notice...

Re: Eventful time coding car

Your first mistake was doing business with someone who doesn't know how to use punctuation. The guy is clearly a massive tosser though and this is not the first time I've read bad things about him. Speak to Wibbles on here who will sort you out with remote coding. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
