Re: R99's Individual Pure Blue F31 330d - The Family Wagon!

Update time. Car will be going for a full GTechniq detail soon - 2 stage machine polish and the Crystal Serum Ultra Black package. In the mean time I have now bought some wheels for the build - OEM F80 437m. https://i.imgur.com/pT3PPDx.jpg?1 Opted for 4 new tyres on the 437m’s. Went with 245/35 & 26...

Re: Rumored changes to MOT?

Great to see, particularly the points around DPF removal and the fitting of HID's!

Did the new windscreen go in okay :?:
No, it was a disaster which resulted in National Windscreens being ordered to pay me £420 in compensation.

They were literally incompetent

Re: R99's Individual Pure Blue F31 330d - The Family Wagon!

H&R's now arrived! Car is going in for a new Windscreen on Monday after a fight with a rather large stone before the Christmas break! Managed to argue the point with my underwriters and they have eventually authorised genuine BMW glass - but I still have to use their approved fitter - National Winds...

Or pay £300 to get a new retrimmed wheel and also keep yours
My preferred option as then you retain your original wheel which is ideal for returning the car to stock for re-sale / trading in purposes!

Re: Bespoke steering wheel

Nutter paid almost £500 for it on eBay! Royal charged me £120 for a better job, iirc. Jesus - never paid anywhere near £500 for a wheel! Agree, what a nutter! Was that £120 for a re-trim using your own wheel? Service exchange. Jack custom made my order from an identical carcass which I swappe...

I saw a BMW Ledermanz wheel which looked awful and saggy. 4 times the price too!
Really? Cant dispute if you saw poor quality, however not sure how it could possibly be 4 times the price, that sounds completely at odds with my experiences and I have had 3 wheels from the guy!

Re: Bespoke steering wheel

No need to send it to Latvia. I think it’s jack at royal steering wheels or something similar, somebody else will help Agree - but I have seen Royal Steering wheels work first hand and have also had work done by Ledermanz and I know which one I would choose! So have I, Royal every time.
