Re: HELP - Dealer Cock-up

I'm a little bemused with some of the comments, he's been quite emphatic he's made it clear the total value must not exceed the 40K threshold to avoid paying the excessive amount for road tax. To be quite clear on this specific subject I placed an order for a new 225xe (Active Tourer) and gave exact...

Re: iOS 11

Updated my work i7 via WiFi this morning and immediate thought being the display especially with emails etc. is much improved, certainly hope the battery life will be better but as the phone is only a couple of months old I'll be letting it discharge totally and see what happens after that. dorsetre...

Re: Battery only cars

The only government costs we have is yearly $100 licence fee for my 225xe and a $35 warrant of fitness inspection after 3 years from new. Insurance isn't compulsory. Mercedes has not had great media for service and reliability. I found the i3 steering not great which it shows up in tight areas. It'...

Re: Potential Sale of M140i

@stegosaurus - i don't have the space to keep a 3rd unfortunately - mainly because of the numpties from our local council slapping a 2 car per household rule on us. So I wouldn't be able to get a permit for it. @dorsetred - interesting idea. Not sure I like the sound of a front wheeler though. The ...

Re: Battery only cars

I totally agree with waiting to see the i3S information combined with the total loaded price against that of the 225xe although strangely enough we found the i3 a little different from your thoughts but I'm wandering if that was due to the differing road conditions. Where I live in Dorset UK in gene...

Re: Potential Sale of M140i

Despite what all and sundry have to say I'd suggest you check out the Active or Grand Tourer, the only vehicle which has more space in the cabin is the 3-series and having had Civic Type R GT I can certainly advise the boot is bigger in the BM, changing to one of these may be a better idea on your p...

Re: Quick hello

Hi there Just been looking over the UK new build site and definitely only Dakota Leather shown for the interior trim so I can't understand why they would have a M Sport with basic Sport interior however on looking at the picture you attached that's not a UK spec vehicle because Estoril Blue is only ...

Re: Battery only cars

Hi Kiwi long time no speak! Have to say I agree with your train of thought having tried an i3 when home and didn't understand about the Range Extender but obviously now fully appreciate the knowledge despite the relatively small fuel tank and engine size at least you know you can travel albeit only ...

Re: Quick hello

Welcome to the forum Smithy and hopefully you'll have your car back quickly. Have to admit I'm somewhat surprised as we've got an M Sport with full leather as standard and wandering if you've got slightly mixed up between the variants as I'm reasonably sure you've referring to the "Sport" version? K...

Alloygators! https://www.alloygator.com Swear by them now and easy to fit once you've done the first one. Only issue I have had was hit a kerb and it poked out the gator but protected alloy. Should have replaced it but knocked it back in and ended up with slow air loss . Wifes had hers for 3 years ...

Re: Rush performance carbon parts

Usual browsing during the morning and traced http://www.roushuk.com/ although when pressing "shop vehicles" the name Nemisis UK appears, seems to be more of a UK specialist for Mustang parts, couldn't find any mention of carbon parts for BMW. Perhaps easier to send an email or call them: - If you ca...

Hi Oggi and welcome to the forum. I think the information that Steve found could be quite beneficial as I've never seen that detail previously despite having our 218d since 30th November 2014 and another source for you would definitely be Wibbles aka Craig ( BR Diagnostics & Retrofits ) one of the f...

Re: New policy and when to start

Hi Mark We're in exactly the same boat as our 2AT is three years old come end of November, already contacted them by email and they've sent a quote but also added need to take it up within 30 days so we'll reapply in November. What did surprise me was despite having a low mileage mint condition vehi...

Welcome! Interesting switch you made from the A45. Can I ask what made you switch, and what do you feel is better/worse with the M235i you own currently? See you around!
I looked at a '66 model A45 Premium AMG last month and very interested as to why you made the change as well
