Re: Amp recommendation

Okay, so assuming they're 150w RMS/300w peak, JL do an amplifier sort of within that range, i.e. the XD400/4 however it's nowhere near your £100 budget. You can under power them slightly and it will be okay. The XD range is about the same height and width as an iPad but obviously the depth is more. ...

Re: Amp recommendation

Okay great! In addition to '4 channel', is there anything else I need to be looking for when buying an amplifier in terms of specification? Also, whereabouts could it be mounted do you reckon? Make sure the Ohmage and RMS match your speakers, otherwise you can damage/blow them up. They can be mount...

Yeah, it had the base audio system in it before and sounds no better than the one before.
You should have increased clarity BUT an amplifier (read as a good amplifier, set up correctly) should offer a huge change in your listening experience.

Re: Amp recommendation

Alright, sounds good. To be honest, anything better than what I currently have I'll be happy with. I had the upgrade done last night and I feel like I've wasted money so I'm hoping I can fix the quality on the cheap side, not looking for or expecting anything spectacular. How is it currently powere...

Re: Aftermarket HU

I know having an aftermarket head unit isn't a popular opionion here but I'm just thinking it's a good solution for me in terms of bluetooth and wiring an external aftermarket sub, so has anyone got a single din aftermarket hu with parking sensors and bongs still working fine? I've read some thread...

Re: Amp recommendation

Hi all, I'm looking to install an amp into my F21 for my MTX tx6.bmw upgrade. I have a budget of £100, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for when it comes to amplifiers. As far as I'm aware, I'll need a 4-channel amp but I'm not sure about anything else to be honest. Anyone able to help me out? Che...

Re: E87 depo V2 finally stopped working

Any more info on what you have had done pal 👍 DEPO V2 split with the following modifications: - Upgraded Dipped Beam Morimoto H1 (I believe) BiXenon Projectors with Morimoto HID Kit. I was going to go for D2S Projectors but couldn't justify the extra cost. - Dummy High Beam Projector. - Morimoto XB...

Re: E87 depo V2 finally stopped working

just all ball ache to get the correct rings to replace the broken ones. Not really THAT hard. EM Tuning can get you the right sizes if you want to go down the Morimoto route like I did. 100mm and 110mm. You don't need to go down the route of RGB like I did, you can just go for XSB and not have the ...

Re: What Did You Do To Your 1 Series Today?

Good job you didn't have the front ones done. No I believe it’s not legal ? Correct. Simple search will tell you that that the windscreen must let 75% of light through and the front side windows 70%. Any less than that and you risk being pulled by the fuzz. Unless you go limo black, the actual chan...

Re: 1 Series Speaker/Radio Upgrade.

Having looked at upgrading the sound system previously, there are quite a few companies who'll do a nicely packaged Stage 1/2/3 upgrade specific to your model - give it a google. The real audio-buffs I'm sure will be able to recommend better products but it'll give you an idea for what's out there ...

Umm do the halogens come with eyebrows? You could also buy some silvertech bulbs from EBay for £6 to get rid of the fried egg look in your indicators bud Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk IIRC the halogens do come with the eyebrow from factory but they don't light up. They only light up on the OEM...
