Its still a lot of money, so if they are getting rid of manual will the price increase by £2645 or will they give prevoius auto buyers a £2645 refund......
Generally, the price of the cars will increase anyway (and have done).

Thanks Sonic.

I think carly is going to be the way to go.

Appreciate your advice.

It's the easiest and fairly idiot proof. Backups are taken BEFORE any coding is done so if something does go wrong, you can revert to the backup.

Re: E87 coding software options

Hi everyone I'm new here having just bought a 2011 123d (E87). So far I love it. Reading many posts on here it looks like there is lots of good stuff you can achieve by coding but I'm unclear about which is the best approach. I liked the look of BimmerCode but I from what I can gather that doesn't ...

Indeed, that was a typo.

I still don't reccomend it as I've seen and worked on enough cars that have been borked when bimmercode has been used.
My point is, people use it regardless of cost of the car in question.

Don't use Bimmercode - this is the second occurance of this soort of thing I've heard of in the last 2 days.

Just because "there is an App for that", does not mean you should use it on a 30 grand car.
There's people using it on 50k+ cars....

I like stop/start, but if you're trickling along you don't really want it firing all the time. I guess there's no way to code it to wait, say, 5 seconds after stopping, before it cuts in ?
Just press the button to turn it off, then turn it back on once you're in flowing traffic.

When I collected the car I was asked to choose a payment date.
Same. My dealer did say BMW give you 45 days grace before the first payment however I chose my payment date upon collection.

I’m not sure which country or currency you are talking about, but in the U.K. the DCT option on M3/4 is list £2645, before discount.

Re: No More Manual M140 M240 from JULY 2018

An accurate market poll suggests Manual cars account for the following: M4 = 5% M2 = 16% 135/140 = 30% 235/240 = 20% On m lites I imagine cost is a factor (auto being a bigger percentage of overall cost on a 135/140 vs say an M4), as well as demographic age. If I did the same study on the previous ...

Nope. No option, at all, to keep/buy/part ex the vehicle when financing via PCH.

It's a simple long term rental. Nothing more, nothing less.
Corrected.

Re: PCP or PCH?

In my personal case:

PCP lower monthlies, but balloon at the end. Can give the car back after the term or pay it off and keep it.
PCH higher monthlies, but no balloon. No option to keep car.
