Re: Coding for F20 Screen Upgrade from 3 Series

Just read another worrying thread (old one) Apparently, Pre-LCI and LCI screens have different voltages so are not interchangeable. My car is an LCI2. The 8,8 screen I bought was from pre-LCI model (part number 65509292248) I think in any case i'd need the LCI model (part number 65509387453). Obviou...

Hi guys. Im doing the 3 Series to F20 Screen upgrade on my M140i Shadow Edition (as I have Business Nav) and am having some trouble finding one of the required options when using Bimmercode. I've read through previous posts on here and facebook groups and everyone states the same to values are requi...

Re: M140i "Intake"

Rob, DP upgrade decat is optimal as it removes the 1000cpi bung from your exhaust. If keeping exhaust stock, I think you will hear and feel the benefit of the decat moreso than an intake. Downside is that you make your car non road legal by removing at cat. While Yes you can declare it as a modific...

Re: E87 118d trying to cut out at various speeds

So had a mechanic mate look at the car with the intention of having the ABS reluctor rings and sensors replaced, only for him to find the shaft is completely seized in the hub and wont budge. Not looking bright for this bag of $%^& motor :( Going to have to find a garage in the Wigan area to try and...

Re: E87 118d trying to cut out at various speeds

Ok so just been for a short drive.. Light came on after 5 mins and the engine was dying. Held in the DTC in until the letters DTC where on the dash. It then seemed fine for a mile or so but then did the same thing again. After a few more minutes driving, the ABS warning then came on. Got the car hom...

Re: E87 118d trying to cut out at various speeds

Thanks for the quick reply.

I was looking through the Common 1 Series Problems thread and it does sound like it could be the DSC/DTC issue... the light could definitely be that...

Ill go and give it a go and report back

thanks again

E87 118d trying to cut out at various speeds

Hi guys. Having a mare with my 2009 118D E87 at the moment.... After driving for around 10 minutes or so, it will suddenly start trying to cut out, with a light on the dash flickering as it does. Its not the engine management light, its more like the start/stop symbol, but even if you manually turn ...

Renewal Price up £200 118D

So got my renewal price last week... up £200 for a 118D - not exactly brilliant news. How they can justify it I'm not quite sure... Will be looking elsewhere unfortunately.
