Re: Eibach Pro-kit M-sport vs Non M-sport

Just to add to this.. If you're wanting the bump stops (shorter ones from Z4) then pm me because I have a full spare set which I've never used because my B8 dampers came with new bump stops anyway!

Cheers,

Andy.

Re: A "Daily" E82 123d

From what I've researched a 2.5" downpipe on these won't restrict flow or reduce bhp compared to a 3". That sounds like a good plan if Darkside will send you a prefabricated downpipe complete with DPF. Just get the small Cat style casing, don't think the big oval one would fit. A decent garage shoul...

Re: A "Daily" E82 123d

It fits no problem, but because it is universal it needs either welding, or clamping into a specially fabricated downpipe. So this requires a good exhaust fabricator such as Darkside themselves or in my case I used Keltec Performance in Leeds who did an excellent job. I had an entire system from tur...

Re: 235 as opposed to 245 for more oversteer...

What's your current setup? 225 wide front will fit and are 10mm wider than oem. There's simple suspension mods you can do as well if you want to go down that route.

Re: New E82 123d owner creating a track car - Input appreciated!

Hi OP, have to agree with everyone's input so far, bar one little point, who says diesels don't make fun track cars [emoji23] I certainly had fun last week at Oulton Park in my 123d! It's my daily hence the diesel part and I do agree with Marco that's what they're best at but they're still fun on tr...

Re: Crunch Time Should I Stay or Should I Go Now....

Ok so now I have owned my BMW 1 Series Convertible 120i Sport M for about 6 months. In the first few months it spent a lot of time off the road with the engine warning light always seeming to be on. I had the timing chain replaced under warranty and subsequently an oxygen sensor. The car still runs...

Re: SuperPro subframe inserts.

I haven't got experience with those but I have the Yellow (90sha) Stongflex rear subframe bushes (not inserts) and these have been amazing so far, especially considering the price! Very good on road and track. Just another option to consider perhaps if you're looking around. http://www.strongflexuk....

Re: Potential huge u-turn to e82!

Still loving my 125 after 3 months of ownership and zero problems so far (other than the leaking headlight washer jet when I first bought it which was fixed by the dealer) Idrive was a must for me as it enables you to store music on the internal hard drive and after updating to the 2018 maps I am u...

Re: 123d Discs?

As others - the discs are unlikely to be warped, but the pads could be unevenly worn or something else causing the vibration. Regarding Mtec, I have their discs front and rear on my 123d, slotted and vented, but not drilled. They are cast iron so quite heavy, but they are well made, fitted perfectly...

Re: Car hunting update

Hi OP, My 2p's worth from my experience, I have owned a 118d for 2 years and a 123d for 2 years (which I still own) and I have driven my friends 120d and 135I a few times in between. All of them were/are very well looked after and in good condition, having said that my 123d is now approaching 100k m...

Re: Electrical Problems after battery disconnected

Hi OP, just to add to this for you and anyone else with the same problem in future - I used this fella (link below) when I needed my FRM module relashing. He was very professional and the whole process from posting to refitting on my car took just 2 days. No complaints and would highly recommend... ...

M261 2 Wheel Swap for Square Setup

Hi Guys, I am looking to swap a pair of 7.5x18" ET49 M261 Alloys with brand new 225x40x18 Michelin PS4 tyres for a pair of M261 8.5x18" ET52 wheels, with or without tyres (ie. the rear OEM wheels). The wheels I have are in reasonable condition and are gun metal grey. This swap would suit anyone look...

Re: E87 123d Map Decisions

Yeah, 290bhp with dpf intact sounds interesting. What are the extra mods please? Thanks This is mine: Its had a load more mods since but all handling related. Info about the DPF etc is in the thread. http://www.babybmw.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=105619&p=1353043#p1353043 PS. Just noticed you've...

Re: E87 123d Map Decisions

Hi Ian, I would suggest Paul of RS Tuning in Leeds. He was recommended to me via Jason of BW Chiptune, a well respected BMW tuner on this forum. Paul provided excellent customer service post map with some tweaking and did a great job. He tuned my E82 123d to 290bhp (it has a few extra mods but still...
