Re: My Suspension quest! 130i

I will be ordering ST XTA coilovers in February. Mods so far are front M3 LCAs, camber pin mod, rear subframe inserts, E81 chassis brace... but the greatest change has definitely been lightweight wheels (8.2kg each) with a wider track and MPSS tyres. I did all the mods individually except for the M...

That's rather slow to be honest - mine on Stage 2 is quicker than that. You need to turn off the DTC as well for the best launches. Don't forget it's not all about power either.

LOL it's all good, I can take a joke just didn't know they were as ridiculous as putting an M badge on which I don't have btw. I guess the newbie still has a lot to learn, thanks anyway.
Good on you mate! We're all hear to learn - we just want the best for your car, believe it or not :)

Put her up for sale. We have a very high registration tax here in Malta so that's why it's been priced accordingly. Insurance valued at 17,000 euro without mods in fact. http://www.maltapark.com/item.aspx?itemid=6220675 Ah Jesus no way. You must have gone through some serious soul searching to make...

Re: Caliper Covers

Here's what real Brembo calipers look like:

Needless to say fake caliper covers will look tackier than a glitter M-badge sown to your forehead. But each to his own. Just don't expect compliments on this forum

Re: Done with the M240i - what's next?

Thank you all. No auto-blip for the Megane then. I've modded my 123d using genuine BMW parts for the most part, with the only aftermarket items being the wheels (OZ), headlights (Depos), suspension (ST XTA coilovers, they sit in between the KW V2 and KW Clubsports) and gearknob (Storm Motorwerks). ...

Re: Done with the M240i - what's next?

Quick question to everyone from a less experienced enthusiast: Are mods (in general) value accretive? i.e. can you get your money back when you sell your car? I have already identified shortfalls in that Megane (before even taking delivery) and am flirting with the idea of adding a rev matching aut...

Re: Engine swap

It is, but a big job. You'll need the engine, gearbox, prop shaft, and most of the electrics. It's almost going to be a re-shell, in my opinion. And with that amount of work, might as well put in an N57 lump if you want to stick to diesel (335d engine) or go big and get an N54/S65 engine. I'd favou...
