Re: Hyundai i30N

I test drove one and loved but something needs to give with regards finance. I haven’t had one reasonable quote yet. Apart from early adopters I just don’t know how they are going to shift them.

Great car, Hyundai just need to support them with a decent finance package.

Re: ANOTHER attempted theft

Really sorry to hear this. Just because your house is new don’t assume the locks are 3 star diamond rated. It will say on the lock, if it’s British standard get them changed ASAP.

Re: M140i stolen

I really feel for you, it’s a horrible experience you have been through which is now being magnified by having the car returned to you.

Attempted theft last night

Sorry to have to write this but my house was broken into last night and they were after only one thing, my car keys. They never got them but the point was they were in the house whilst my wife and toddler son slept. Called 999 and the police came an hour and a half later and said 5 similar incidents...

What a load of pathetic condescending remarks.
I wouldn’t say the comments are condescending but more people speaking from their own experiences. The OP maybe mature beyond his years.

Re: My first car, Brand new M140i shadow edition

My first car was a 1.0 litre Vauxhall Nova with the reg F981 BCM, it was reddish (read sun bleached pink) with a firework down the side. I loved that car and to me it was the best thing in the world as it gave me freedom. I was 17 and it taught me how to drive, not drive well enough to pass a 30 min...

Re: Your next car?

On my way home I was behind the new FK8 (?) Civic Type R and yes it looked rediculous and completely over the top but seeing it on the road part of me completely fell in love with it.

Re: Grinding brakes

I had this a few weeks ago, ended up taking to a local garage who took the wheel and caliper off and looked at the backing plate but couldn’t find the stone. When he put everything back together and pulled off the ramp the grinding had gone. He never charged me a penny for it.

Re: Your next car?

I’m going through this now, fancy something a bit more focussed. I’m very intrigued with the new Hyundai i30 N. The M lite is great, really enjoyed it but I have found I don’t go out for the fun of it anymore however it’s a great daily.

Re: Stone stuck in caliper??

Thanks Marco, yes tried all the usual tricks but it wouldn't come out. Guy on a moped pulled over in front of me thinking the noise was coming from his bike, it was that loud!
Anyway wheel off, pads out did the trick. You are right Marco the design is great.

Thanks for everyone's help

Stone stuck in caliper??

They are doing a lot of resurfacing work near where I live and I went through a lot of stone this morning. It sounds like I have got one stuck in my caliper (really loud scraping noise coming from the front left) anyone know how I can get it out?
