Re: 130i Manual v Auto

Im sure those who have found a big difference from CDV mod would of found the same difference leaving it alone and just bleeding clutch fluid, im convinced that's what is making the difference for those that feel it "transforms" the gear change, I just cant see how a valve that restricts backflow i...

Re: Audi's are really cheap?

The timing chains on the 3.2 are prone to stretching too...which is fairly expensive to fix. The early DSG boxes are also prone to failure.

I had a 3.2 TT and it was nothing but problems and a PITA to work on.

Bog standard 130i exhaust, you can golf tee if you want to.
Can you not just unplug the solenoid in the boot? - no vacuum leak and does the same thing?

thanks

Re: Get to your PDC unit (water issue)

Great post!!! You've just helped me resolve this issue on my 2010 E87. After taking out a pint or more of water from the well the PDC was in, does anyone have any recommendations to check where the water came from, attempt to reseal any issue? Thanks again Check rear light seal, rear bumper vent an...

Will it work?

Can I use a VAG KKL cable to code my 2007 e81?

I read somewhere about swapping 2 wires over but can't find a conclusive answer anywhere

Thanks

Re: E81 unforced entry

Could of unlocked it by mistake? Button could have been pressed in your pocket or something? Because something similar happened to me and the sods nicked all the change out of my ashtray. Only a couple of quid so I wasn't that annoyed but this was a few years ago when I had a 1er That's also possib...

Re: E81 unforced entry

I have been thinking this as a friend not too far from me had something similar happen to his new polo - which locks its self if left open.

I will put my go-pro in the window for now. Its a 10 year old car worth 6/7k so I am surprised its been targeted.

Thanks

E81 unforced entry

Hi, I went out to my car this morning to find the glove box & ashtray open and the contents of the glove box were on the passenger seat. The boot was also not closed. (looks like they had lifted the floor i the boot) Any idea how some one has got in without using force as I am 99% sure I double chec...

Have you tried rocking the bonnet up and down whilst someone pulls the catch? This has worked for me in the past

Re: 130i sluggish - glasgow

Mine also had a loose coil pack, which I think it had from factory (7/8 years prior to me purchasing it) another thing worth checking if the solenoids make no difference.

Re: 130i sluggish - glasgow

I cant help with a test drive but have a search for Vanos solenoids..if you haven't looked at them already. They can cause sluggish throttle response and flat spots and don't always throw a code. They are very easy to get to and reasonably cheap to replace if needed but try clean them 1st as this wi...
