Re: Big Discounts at Tyre City Cirencester

How can they manage to sell MPSS for that? It's pretty much half price and I've often been told margins are tight on tyres.

A real bargain if you can get the right tyres.

When you look at the lease deals it amazes me that PCP is so popular,
Leasing is so much cheaper at the moment. I don't think that was always the case, but that's the cheapest way of getting a M140i by a long way at the moment.

Re: On an approved used,really?

AUC means nothing. You're not getting a better car at all.

Even when a dealer totally disregards AUC guidelines BMW say it's up to each dealer if they follow them or not.

Re: M140i 1/4 mile times

Nice time jaze55. Here's a couple of time slips from my Aussie M140i from Willowbank Raceway in Brisbane, QLD, car #589. My 60ft times were crap and based on your 60ft being 0.194 quicker, every 0.1 in the 60ft = 0.2 at the 1/4, so theoretically if I had the same 60ft I would have got 12.446 for my...

Re: M235i

£17k is very bottom of the market and they all look a bit suspect around that money. They will continue to depreciate, but not massively at current trends.

Re: Costs after year 3

Depreciation is always going to be the biggest cost. A 3 year old car is past the worst of it and I don't think the values of the M235i will go too low.

I doubt many people will get 3 years out a set of tyres unless doing tiny mileage. That's still a cost you'll likely face buying another new car.

Re: TRL M140i Motech Edition

People are getting up to 15% off list and with £25k GFMV it ends up with PCP costs being very similar. Which dealers are offering 15%? I must admit I would rather have a base spec M2 to a fully loaded M140i if costs were similar... Each to their own though :) There has been a few people getting tha...

Re: Start stop playing up,

How old is the car? How many miles?

Stop start knocks the life out of batteries and starter motors..

Re: TRL M140i Motech Edition

Even when holding back on the options list, an M2 is still £52.5k list price. The discounts aren't as good and there is up to an 18 month wait for one. List price starts £46,695. Discounts are being offered everywhere and there is cars available. There is no wait now for a new car. £46k gets a shit...

Re: TRL M140i Motech Edition

A decent spec M140i is £40k. A decent spec M2 is £65k. Hardly a small difference, even when on PCP. An M2 is nowhere near £65k. Early £50k before discounts gets a nice car. These are offered at £2k deposit and £449 per month. Dealers are advertising( before negotiation) £999 and £499 for DCT M2s. I...

Re: TRL M140i Motech Edition

£34220 ... if you have a new M2 deal for that I'll order one now ;) Nice cars like what they have done with them :) Most people will be buying on PCP. It's pocket change difference between this and an M2 on PCP. Obviously cash price there is a difference, but depreciation will still end up with sim...

Re: TRL M140i Motech Edition

I see they cost pretty much the same as an M2. It's a no-brainer to go for the M2.

Edit..... For people buying on PCP.
