Service - Supply own Oil

Hi All, Long story short... i spoke to Cooper BMW Reading about 2 months ago for a 1st service quite (with me supplying oil) they said £175 - fine, happy with that. Fast forward to last Friday, now my service is due in 200 miles - Agreed with Them to get the car in for yesterday with me supplying oi...

Re: M2comp, = B58 possible power hike ?

The next M140 is already said to be only having around 300bhp from a 2.0t with AWD... so a step down in power. so disappointing!

I guess it's to stop any of the current situation where people just get an M2 for 90% of the performance for 80% money or less.

Sad times...

Re: Warm weather - finally the m140i 'works'

I don’t doubt the 140 is fun, I guess lots of people are just let down by RWD. I suppose even BMW realised the shortcoming of RWD with the advent of the switchable 4WD system used in the M5. I'm by no means a RWD Singer of Praises... but the new M5 also have 600bhp plus... also, all competitors are...

Re: Potholes strike again!

Is it only me that thinks this is a problem with our country... The tyres had done 20k and already needed replacing anyway, yet you're still putting a compensation claim in?? By all means, complain about the state of the roads, report them to get them fixed but leave the compensation claim and let ...

Re: Potholes strike again!

Thanks for the replies everyone. I got the 4 tyres replaced. very lucky that there was only a very mild flat spot on the alloys (each of them hid the edge of the pothole at a strong-point/spoke on the wheel) I've put the claim in to the council for the 2 tyres that were punctured, no need to push my...

Yup, 6.5 of that.
Ok great, will be taking it to BMW for the service but supplying oil, wonder if they will give me the remaining .5 of oil for top up after the service..

Potholes strike again!

so, this evening at about 7pm i hit this crater.. Can't have been doing more than 10-15mph max. it was unavoidable due to oncoming traffic and on the brow of a hill. gutted to say the least :( front and rear tyres gone. Easter weekend so will be tricky to get it checked somewhere, but i need them to...

Re: M235i ---> X3 M40i

that is so nice! such a step up in build and interior from the 1/2 series!

interesting to see how the actual X3 M compares as it will be a hell of a lot more money for not all that much more car...

i'd love one of these, but the cost and the fact i dont need an SUV... :/

Re: Left for dust by a brand new Cupra (country roads)

thanks for the replies everyone, As i said, i didn't try too much in the end because of the speeds he/she decided to go. I think i came across wrong with that initial message, it was more of a "wow, look at him go!" as i wasn't really expecting it. Tbh he was driving far too fast and i'd hate to thi...
