Re: There's always a quicker one...

Interesting - I had 3 run ins with A45 AMGs from the lights and had several car lengths on each - must have been terrible drivers :D It's not rocket science to launch or start briskly with a 4 wheel drive DCT/DSG car. It's pretty much fool proof as you don't have to do anything other than press one...

Re: Another one bites the dust

I'm sorry to hear of your woes mate. I do feel for you as I've had a few cars nicked off me before and know the feeling. In fact, the last one that got nicked, I didn't even break stride in the morning when I noticed it was missing and just walked straight to the bus stop. Yes, I was that hardened ...

Re: Another one bites the dust

Sorry to hear OP, glad all are well & most importantly it's not going to impact your next car choice!! While my area isn't infested with vermin doing burglaries like this, reading the threads on here has made me think. Once I'm back at work I'll be investing in more secure locks for the house. Some...

Re: Another one bites the dust

I'm not surprised there's no big fuss over a car theft at this point in time - the country is on its arse, police forces are being slashed, especially up here in Greater Manchester - that and recent events of course. Sorry to hear this, and it is rife. I live in a nice area - the problem is this at...

Where about in Manchester if you don't mind? See a M135i in blue like yours down the road from me all the time, just wondering if it's my area.
Middleton mate.

Re: Another one bites the dust

It does, and I think I'm going through that phase - it really does start to add up (immobiliser, CCTV). I see, that was good of them though regardless of the car they offered - still kept you mobile and worked for both parties. Yeah, it could be a lengthy wait - but it's worth asking - I'll give it ...

Re: Another one bites the dust

@Dusted - thanks for the Autowatch Ghost heads up, from the product description it sounds promising. Even if they broke in the house and got the car unlocked it sounds like they'll just end up sat there infuriated - £400 seems reasonable for something that could genuinely mean your car is going nowh...

Re: Another one bites the dust

Thanks for all the replies guys. Everyone's well, the cat was terrified just after it'd happened, found him hiding under the table and he was shaking when I picked him up - that pissed me off more than the car being stolen - just glad he was in the right place at the right time when that brick came ...

Re: Another one bites the dust

The police have been in touch, they won't be sending anybody out. They took the report over the phone and when asked about anything that can be used for forensic analysis they said the only thing they'd send a team out for would be if there was a clear fingerprint or any traces of blood. The only th...

Re: Another one bites the dust

Really sorry to read this. I have to say that since having mine, I do think about this happening probably a little too much. My friends and I were discussing this earlier. For cars with pro nav and connected, would there be anything BMW could do to track / disable the car? And would it still be tra...

Re: Another one bites the dust

Gutted for you fella - grim to see it happen with your own eyes. Are you happy to disclose where you are in the world re: location so peeps can be aware if from the same area / keep an eye out in case they eyeball yours? Glad to hear no one was harmed and you have correct insurance(s) in place. Tak...

Re: Another one bites the dust

Ah crap, bad luck. Nobody got hurt, that's the main thing. At least you sensibly have GAP. How do you think they worked out which house had the keys inside, any suspicion that you'd been watched/followed? Yeah - that is the main thing, we're all OK. I'm most peeved off about the fact my cat was pet...

Another one bites the dust

These threads never seem to end, now I'm unfortunately joining the club. Got woke up this morning by an almighty bang, got out of bed and stood up in the bedroom only to hear the unmistakable cold start of an M135. I pulled the blinds apart to look out and saw my headlights on - and at that very mom...

Re: Whining noise from dashboard area

Yep my M140 has started doing it recently - sounds like a CD spinning at speed in the drive (for those of you not as old as me a CD is a silver disc that we used to buy from the shops when we wanted to listen to music). I would love to nominate my car as a donor to find out what this issue is howev...
