Re: Other drivers 'trying it on' - is it a car colour thing?

As a 240 owner,I never get hassled on the road. My mate with an m3v8 (who conceded that the 240 is quicker)gets loads of attention. He always gets tailgated. But....when we stop for fuel he gets people looking and talking about his car, with no one giving mine a second look!lol My E90 M3 felt a hell ...

Re: Other drivers 'trying it on' - is it a car colour thing?

This all baffles me a bit! I've had M3s, M5s and my current m135. I do around 300 miles per week and in the 12 years I've been driving, not once has anyone tried to 'race' me! I'm not a slow driver however have had idiots come right up behind me in 20/30 limits but they soon back off once they pay a...

Re: HK in the 2 series

It's supposed to improve the separation as apparently the the centre speaker is left and right merged together.

The HK is ok for a car. Certainly wouldn't have anything less.

Re: Bugger, pot hole

My other half hit this the other day. Knackered both n/s wheels & tyres. It was 6" deep and covered by water.

£1300 quote from bmw inc tracking.

I've put a claim in but doubt anything will come of it.

Re: Pothole and bent wheel

This is the hole. It's buggered both n/s wheels.

It looks like there has been a previous repair. It was covered by a puddle the other night so invisible.

Re: Pothole and bent wheel

It is mate. Very annoying. Have an old M3 wheel on it at the moment while I find a replacement

Re: Pothole and bent wheel

Fair enough guys. If it's worth doing then I will. The whole point of me asking is to determine whether it is. If it involves me having to spend hours proving my case then it would be surely cheaper to fix

Re: Pothole and bent wheel

Thanks all- won't bother if it's going to be a mission

I know 3 other people who have hit the same one. It's unbelieveable that councils get away with this. It's on a country's road which is always used by tracktors

Also loads of reports of it on that website

Pothole and bent wheel

Received a phone call the other night from my better half saying she'd gone down a pothole and the tyre had burst. Despite raging inside, I'm staying calm but I now need a new tyre and the wheel has a flat spot so I'll need a new one. Total is around £500 from bmw! Is it worth pursuing with the coun...

Re: Has anyone tried blanking off the light sensor in the panel?

I can see that yours is annoying if it changes at the wrong time. Mine works really well- can you have the sensitivity reset? I've had to do this on my other bmws where the auto lights and wipers had a mine of their own. Resting the sensitivity / calibrating the module via inpa worked for those cars...

Mine also lacks precision. Bmw aligned it and it feels slightly better. 4 new matching mpss, 3 door 2016

Re: Big Traction issues

Didn't someone post a video recently comparing the stopping distance of summer vs winter at low temps and winter lost?

They are definately more slippy from my experience but for that 1 day of snow they're so much fun. Hard to justify the expense for 1 day though

Re: 440i and Mlite40i - back to back

Forgot to say I had the 440 grand coupe..

It has the hud and although I thought I was great to art with, I ended up turning it off as it makes it hard to see the road (country roads: full time pothole dodging)
