Re: Larger fuel tank

exactly so the tank has to be a percentage full for the test, so smaller tank = less weight = better co2/mpg figures. I wish a bigger tanks was optional on the 225xe, was in Scotland last week, did over 2000 miles, and seemed to be filling it up twice a day. Although I'm still interested in the 225...

Hi unfortunately they dont recommend continually swapping tyres with wheels as the beading is only supposed to be used once on a runflat tyre !
Nice one Sid, thanks for that. Looks like I'll have to search out a whole set of wheels then.

Re: Road testing an M Sport when trying to buy a Luxury ...

order an msport and delete the suspension Absolutely this: however, a couple of things from my experience. The sports seats are well worth the purchase (especially with lumbar support and electrical adjustment) and you can easily find a spot that suits and the chairs are extremely comfortable. We'v...

Re: BMW 220D xdrive Gran Tourer Msport

For the last few years I've just had winter tyres fitted in October, and had 'em taken off in April/ May for a couple of quid at our local tyre place - however this was on our old Lexus. I've seen a few posts on here suggesting winter wheels... Will a set of tyres matching the 18" wheels not be suff...

Well its here, and I have the keys. 20 miles and 9% charge on the clock. Had a good luck round, unfortunately the seagulls have been using it for target practice for the last few days! car looks fine, small interior scuff on the trim by the A pillar, and oddly a new razor blade tucked in behind one...

Re: 225xe M Sport order cancelled

Shaft from a pickaxe or similar may help tranquilise the tyrant :-) That really sums it up just about right although why she should have to finish work earlier, register on the dole at 63 and look for something else basically to keep herself occupied is what she's finding aggravating especially whe...

Re: And so here it is, merry tourer, everybody's having fun...

The A3 etron I tested had the charger socket hidden behind the audi badge in the front grill, probably a better design, but you need to park front end on to the chargers. Aye, that's a good place to hide the charging socket. It'd have to be a BLOODY HUGE roundel to house the socket on a Bimmer thou...

Liking the colour, estoril blue has always had a special place in my heart. I'm in two minds about the AT. Some angles it looks good, other angles it looks a bit meh. Not sure I'm a fan of the flap on the wing, surely BMW could have hidden it better than that? Even with a bigger fuel flap on the re...

Doncaster, eh? Have you been a bad lad at work? Used to work near there myself, and the people are great - the place? It's all a bit like the 2000s never happened.

The platinum silver is nice, there's one in that colour near the in-law's house and it looks smart as anything.

Re: And so here it is, merry tourer, everybody's having fun...

very nice! I have the same wheels. I switched to quatrac 5 non-runflat with a repair kit instead. ride improves somewhat, but the stopping power isn't as good as standard summer tyres. I had a couple of hair raising moments at exit of roundabout where I had to do a fairly quick stop. Those w...

Love the Colour, shame a nice blue is not available for us lesser mortals in our sports... Glad to see somebody else has gone for the debadge option on one of the higher performance models! Enjoy yourselves with it. 4 days for me and counting! It's a lovely colour. (Thanks DorsetRed... ) What colou...

Not my cup of tea in any way, shape or form ..... sorry :( It just looks awkward and as for that front quarterlight on the driver's door :violin: I'm really sorry for my comments, but I'm being honest, but not intentionally offensive, so hope you can see that? Having said all that, it's your car an...
