Re: In for a penny...

Hi I’ve got this kit. You’ve turned the dash brightness to auto"? Is that how I read it? Sounds a good option - how is that activated on BimmerCode? No, what’s he’s done is to have the dash brightness independent of the ambient lighting. The standard operating is that ambient lighting is connected ...

Re: Battery charging

Not sure but they do cables that would allow bonnet close - there's enough room in the corner by the headlight to have the cable to outside the engine bay https://www.ctek.com/products/vehicle/connect-eyelet-m6 I used that connector direct on the batter and could still close the boot with the charg...

Re: The M140 has gone

Same for me. Sat in the back of a van with home made rear seats :D You were lucky! My Dad was a carpet fitter with his own carpet shop so we normally had to lay on a mountain of carpet that was hanging out the back door! Luxury. My dad was a farmer, so sometimes we had to sit on a dead sheep....

Re: New M140 steering wheel off centre

How do you do the adjustment out of interest? i’m worried if i correct it on completely flat roads and motorways the steering wheel would be centered to the left! If you know the tracking is correct but your wheel is still off centre you can adjust the tracking to centre the wheel. If think of it l...

Must just be the roads round me with the camber, it isnt as bad on the motorway. Thanks for the help. It’s definitely an ocd thing!...

Re: Interesting plate.

I think they mean that's the reserve price for the auction maybe. That’s the starting/reserve price, the hammer price may be much higher at the end of the auction, then you VAT buyers premium and £80 assignment fee on top, so for example if you won it on a £500 final bid you would have to pay in th...

Re: How do you use your Mx35i/Mx40i? What's your mileage?

I’m at 13000mls at 16 months in, I’m on 8k a year so I’m well over already. A trip to Provence and another to Lake Lugano helped clock up the miles, plus it’s now my dd whereas before it was the weekend car. I won’t reach the end of the pcp but I’ll end up paying one way or another. I’d rather be ov...

Re: European Trip

Check out the passes over the Swiss Alps, we stayed on Lake Lugano last summer, our route took us over the Alps to the top of Lugano and I incorporated a number of the passes en-route. The Furkapass has a glacier you can go inside, amazing, and beware the mosquitoes around the lakes! Sent from my iP...

Re: M140i back box

Keep it to put back on when you get rid of the car, second hand MPE go for around £500, so worth the hassle of finding somewhere to store it (but then again I don’t know your missus) 😀
