Re: Oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 2

Reset and see if it comes back, second sensor is just there to monitor that the CAT is doing its job.

Re: Shiny new M140i

FYI there should be a cigarette lighter socket under the passenger glovebox. Thanks for this Un1eash. I need to try and find that - no joy from a quick rummage. Any hints? I've also read about a USB port in the glovebox, but not had any joy finding that yet either! Thanks Andrew Should be here... h...

Re: M235i runflats

100% you can put standard tyres on cars with run flats. Never heard of the bead being at an angle. What some runflat wheels do have is an extra lip on the inside to stop the tyre coming off if it does deflate.

Re: 220i vs 230i vs 240i convertible

They switched from the n20 to the b48 220i in 2016. I'd either go sensible 220i or all out m240i.

Re: What would happen if you revved it out in eco/comfort!

Intrigued if anyone has ever redlined it in the wrong mode or something. Wondering if this is actually unhealthy/damaging for the car.. putting under too much load in eco / comfort etc.? Not something I intend to try but just wondered mechanically speaking? I'm pretty sure all the mode selection do...

Re: Brake Discs - Dimpled and Slotted

Personally, i wouldn't use EBC pads. Yellowstuff will give you fade resistance, but no real performance improvement. Their brake discs aren't an upgrade either. If you want a noticeable improvement in your braking, go for Ferodo DS2500 or similar. I want more bite when both hot and cold. My other c...

Re: Maxton Splitter, or what was..

Looks like they fitted it with flipping self tappers!! My splitter is fitted with Jack Nuts, tested to Autobahn speeds successfully. Self tappers usually are fine. It's how most are doing it, especially with Maxton. Not seen one person have this issue yet on the FB groups so perhaps the ins...

Re: Maxton Splitter, or what was..

How was it attached? Front splitters don't just look good they produce quite a bit of down force especially at motorway speeds.

Re: Warm weather - finally the m140i 'works'

I traded my GT86 in for the M140i, it was seriously frustrating the rear lack of grip. I didn't want to be going sideways out of a bend at 30mph, I wanted to be putting the power down and making progress.

Re: Warm weather - finally the m140i 'works'

Although the new M5 is xdrive, its heavily bias to the rear wheels and can still be switched to RWD only if wanted.
