Re: BMW Price increase announced

Keep me posted Tony, I definitely want to stay under the 40k tax limit. If this advance registering is a thing then great. I know I'm not due till later march but will do what I can to support you too. Don't want to be messing around too much!

Re: Order Placed - Now the wait begins.

I've gone for MPE fitted pre-collection from TRL. That way it'll be fitted properly and I haven't got to wait for an exhaust rattle to get it free! I'll have a non-rattling spare to put back on when I sell the car instead..

Re: Advice requested - used LCI M135i or used M140i??

You're going to be ready for an M2 in 12-18 months? Why not buy a shed for £1500-ish and bring forward the M2 by 6 months? I'll have been shedding for 12 months by the time my M140i turns up and it resets appreciation of cars!

Re: New order - feel free to tear apart my spec!

Heated wheel again, I am so glad I specced it! Last night I ran and my hands were like ice and in pain while they thawed out! They were cold all the way home (ran after work) and I was desperate for the heated wheel! I've gone for Oyster leather. Having such small kids no options are good options, j...

Re: New order - feel free to tear apart my spec!

Had to be a 5 door with a 2 and 4 year old with nursery drop offs, not bothered with lumbar as mileage is low and rarely will it do a distance run. As for price, my last proper car was a well specced used XFR, adding options to an M140i still saves a massive amount vs an M3/M5. It's only a couple of...

Re: New order - feel free to tear apart my spec!

As above, it's a shadow, it has HK :) I run a lot, and a heated wheel was at the top of my list! I ran a 10k XC race Saturday gone and my hands were like blocks of ice. I wanted so badly to cuddle a heated wheel! I had one in my SV8 and agreed with myself that if I ever spec new I'll be getting one....

Re: The Gas Station - Episode 1

I'm part way through but it's good to get a different style of video on there, it's certainly got potential to grow! How to build in longevity is one thing to consider, how to keep people wanting to come back for more every episode.

Re: M140 Shadow offer for Q1 2018 orders

Out of interest how does the GFV and monthly cost compare for the non-Shadow Edition? I appreciate the M140 Shadow has a number of desirable options as standard but I think you're also obliged to have either the Orbit Grey or Jet Black alloys and personally I much prefer the Ferric Grey finish on t...

Re: M140 Offers for Q4 inc PCP costs

What’s going on with the Tax in March? I couldn’t find anything on another tax increase other than for new Diesel cars Nothing is changing with the tax. If the RRP of the car exceeds £40k then you're taxed at a higher rate. If you order now and the RRP is £39,999 but there's a price increase at BMW...

Re: M140 Offers for Q4 inc PCP costs

Thanks for the info Tony, a bit of helpful info for everyone. I'd be gutted taking delivery in March to find I'm now getting bummed for tax!

Re: M140 Offers for Q4 inc PCP costs

Anyone know (or Tony if you're on), if the list price of the car/options increases in Q1 what happens to the price of the car ordered in Q4? I'm being told that an order just under £40k will be taxed at the higher rate if the price increases in Jan and takes the car above £40k. I've told them to can...

Re: Cognac interior

I spec'd cognac on my MG shadow and absolutely no regrets, it is becoming usual for people to WOW when they see the interior for the first time. The cabin in bmw's is always dark, bring it to life guys :) If i had a white/mg or blue car id definitely spec cognac. Any pics to add to the thread mate?...
