Re: I find that the wear of my M140i xdrive tyres is very

If you do the math on the Mx40 tyres its 1.5% from full to low tread. Add the variances you mention in it could be more. Definitely enough to make the car behave differently if it has xdrive IMO. Based on what I've experienced I'd always want to keep the fronts/rears fairly equal. I certainly do in...

Re: I find that the wear of my M140i xdrive tyres is very "FWD"

So as the M140i has different tyre sizes back and front so cannot be rotated and xDrive tyres should be changed four at a time, rears will have to be chucked with useful life in them? Begs the question, is the difference in wear rates front to back enough to eventually cause problems with differenc...

Re: M140i dipstick?

Use the sump plug on a warm engine and let gravity do the job.

Thanks

Is there anyway of removing the oil with an extractor/vacuum pump or does it have to be drained via the sump plug?
I doubt it very much, if you cant get a pipe into the sump you cant pump anything out. Is there limited access to the drain plug then?

Re: Custom, Aftermarket or OEM exhaust?

Those look tiny, really needs some bigger tips imo. They may look tiny boy but that's the actual diameter of the tail pipe, putting 4 inch drainpipe style end's on won't make it faster. Buy a soobarru. Each to their own I guess. I realise there is a larger gap between the pipe and valence but these...

Re: Custom, Aftermarket or OEM exhaust?

IMG_20170906_162611311.jpgI did mine cheaply but I'm happy with the result, Longlife cut out the oval silencer and I took the horrid black tips of and put some chrome ones on, no drone at all just like the volumes been turned up a bit. Re: Front plate delete

The problem with plates on the side of the bumper is they look utter sh*t! Same with sticking it in the window. I'd stick with the plate in its usual location but get the smallest you can legally have. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk Yes that is what I would do as well. Having had bikes for ye...

I think the 8 gears bit is all down to emission tests and mpg figures for the sales charts, but hey it puts you in a different tax cheaper bracket so I'm not moaning.

I've struggled to find the B12 kit. Think I may have found a set priced £673.73 on ebay Germany.
Have had a quick look at ebay and can only see coilover kits, nothing else listed for 2 series?

Doesn't the mpg reset every time you zero the tripmeter?
