Re: PCP rough guidance

Regardless of how you bought the car, selling a car bought new so soon after purchase means you swallow a significant loss. On a PCP, it's negative equity, on a cash buy, it's getting much less back than you paid for it which is only slightly less painful as you've already paid for the loss - and a...

Re: Sale/finance Advice

Thanks Guys! Not what I wanted to hear but I guess I’ll be chasing the negative equity for the forseeable future so I might as well get out now. @tricky I love the car but I also want to do a house extension and ditching the car will keep my outgoings sensible. My other logic is the house extension...

Re: Considering m135i to m140i Shadow Edition

>Main reason for considering a change is that my m135i is obviously 5 years old now and I want to get decent money out of the car while I still can. Trade-in value is currently just over £14k. I paid £18,600 for the car as an Approved Used car back in October 2016. Depreciation is a biatch.< Depreci...

Re: Weird vibration/judder on throttle - xDrive issue

the xDrive transfer case is located just about below the driver's seat. The reason that many people advise, or are advised, to stick to the narrow selection of Star-marked tires is exactly for this reason. So it is disconcerting to have report of *MPSS (original spec!!!) causing this issue. On the s...

Tire temp higher on right side of car?

Not a worry, just an observation. I'm running 2 pairs of wheels so it's not just 1 set of tpms sensor that's out of calibration. And it doesn't matter if the cars been parked with one side facing the sun, or if it's driving with one side facing the sun..... and I'm not carrying passengers or cargo l...

Re: MPSS 88Y vs 92Y (XL)

Are 3 passengers and bags heavier than a six cylinder engine? No. Its well known that the 92xl improves the handling of the 1'er will you be you stuffing an additional six cylinder engine on the bonnet, in additional to the existing engine already in-place, when they calculated the 50:50 axle load?

Re: MPSS 88Y vs 92Y (XL)

No, the fronts don't NEED to be 92Y, but you are already aware of why it is recommended to go with a heavier load rating. 1. The car has 50:50 weight distribution 2. The front axles handles majority of the load when braking and turning It boggles the mind as to why the fronts weren't already 92Y fr...

Re: SatNav destination time always optimistic

In that case why does it differ from Google maps which does the same thing from loads of android users and why does it differ from the Connected drive app ETA? different user pool and algorithm. its pretty dang near guaranteed they dont have as many data points as google does to give the same level...

Re: Adaptive M Sport

That's why, even in comfort, you don't get the crashy feel of the passives. Folks seem to overlook that what you get is adaptive suspension plus a firm setting for sport, if wanted. on the contrary, ive read (but not experienced!) that the passive is better judged than both modes on the adaptive. a...
