Re: Skint

Sounds like you had a hard time! It also sounds like you’re getting on in life, like we’re all supposed to, if we can. Re the above retail issue though..... You were targeted because you are (or look) younger. This is a thing you know. Ask around. It starts with the pleading/sob story and a 99p pizz...

Re: Skint

It makes no difference who is in government really. There is always personal responsibility for ones actions and circumstances! Most people have to go to work between fixed times and perform to an acceptable standard, to be afforded a wage. Failure to comply with these two very basic principles will...

Re: Performance Short Shift Kit

Guys, Just fitted the BMW Short Shift Kit to my 130i. I’ve noticed the gear stick sits much closer to the centre console now and can be tough to get into reverse and fifth gear. Anyone had this? Double check it’s a specific 130i kit / part. Sounds a bit like the wrong one if you have that problem. ...

Re: M135i + M2 on track vid

To me that looks like a track day noob is driving the M2 as fast as they can. The car soaks it all up, but throws some bigger understeer moments in there, when they get too exited in the tighter corners. All driver aides look to be on. The M2 looks like it could give way more in experienced hands. T...

Re: M2 Servicing Costs?

Wow! Well done you :fest:

What spec / colour have you opted for?

You should plan some epic road trip/s to some Alps or similar :)
That’ll help you get to the 1st service a bit quicker

Re: Winter Tyre Problems

How annoying! Somebody has this problem every year  Ignorant tyre monkies strike again :( I bet if you’d have hung about, they’d have fitted 225 on an 8” rim several times that day. It’s actually the best size for that wheel width  245 on an 8” is arguably over tyred and could be less dire...

Re: Ever wondered why we all pay so much for insurance?

22 years old, semi-literate and at the wheel of his highly modified, fraudulently insured RWD BMW  You can’t really dodge the premium increases for the points though. I do enjoy a little grammatical pedantry from time to time, but anyone who addresses others like this, is just plain rude! I’m s...

Re: Optimising sporty driving in turbo diesel 1ers

Just to clarify, I wasn't meaning I expected for my lower range diesel car to perform in the capacity as an M model can, rather I was wanting to ask others if you find there is a better way to rag it in those moments when we are trying to enjoy our motor more! I was also trying to get a feel from o...

Re: Optimising sporty driving in turbo diesel 1ers

Evening all, Now and again I have been trying to extract as much power from my 2017 F21 118d as possible, slotting it into sport mode at appropriate moments on clear roads and so on and trying to have a bit of good old-fashioned thrashing fun as I'm sure most of us enjoy. However, my attempts are k...

Where did you buy the powered by BMW m engine sticker/badge from?

Been looking and can't find them anywhere 🤔
It’s not a sticker he added. BMW put it there in the factory when they built the 1M this engine was salvaged from :)

Well played :)
Very reminiscent of your 130i!

Did you stockpile all the parts and then have them fitted?
How much did all the chassis mods cost please?

Mainly Surrey hills.
Me too! However, I’m not really propper :(
I bought a MTB for fitness last spring and rode every day. I found myself more and more on tracks and lanes though, so just sold that for a carbon crosstrail.

Still in the Surrey hills though :)

Re: Shocking Black-Circle Experience

Your BC experience sounds like a luxury compared to how Tyre Leader treat people! Yes, there has clearly been some availability issue with two of the tyres. However, you describe recieving email and phone comunication on several occasions! Wow, sounds like they're aware of the problem and are attemp...

Re: Brands Hatch Vid

Looks good! Car looks to be behaving well. Indy is a complicated little track isn’t it! You prefer the earler Druids turn in I see? When a car is being driven well, within the limits of driver and chassis, it’s always surprisingly undramatic :) It makes a change to see a track vid posted, where the ...

I asked this Porsche if she was expecting a Cayman or a Boxster, but allegedly she wasn't pregnant.
