Re: Are my washers heated?

The jets themselves will be heated, but not all the hoses.

Hopefully you filled the system with a nice strong winter mix a couple of months ago? Takes a while for the solution to work it's way through, especially to the rear.

Re: battery on its way out??

Old, cold, and in need of replacement. I'd go for a nice big new one, and obviously get it correctly coded to the car.

Re: E87 key fob battery warning

Nope, no way of checking. If you have 2 fobs, rotate their use to keep them both charged

Yup, a 63 plate monitors via the wheel speed sensors instead.

Re: To anyone wondering if winter tyres are worth the money...

Might you experience more wheelspin on cold tarmac (under/over rotation), if your summers aren't in their ideal window of grip?

Re: 120i E87 Just Cut Out

Could be a clogged fuel strainer in the tank? You'd expect that to be an issue at high fuel load though, not at idle which requires very little fuel.

Is the fuel rail pressure sensor healthy?

Re: Final pre-deal advice please: 135i manual 2013

If you've never had live TPMS before, or don't monitor it regularly, you won't miss it. I'd make a polite low-ball offer of something beginning £14,xxx, making it very clear you're a serious buyer, and leaving your contact details. It's a gamble though. They might get back to you, or somebody else m...

It usually works out over a grand just for a heavy kerb strike. Two grand if you get the insurance company involved. - Recovery, at least one alignment (usually both Before and After), wishbones, fitting, cosmetic repairs/replacement of wheel, etc.

Re: 1st drive in the snow

Do you need the tpms? or is it something you can do without if ur happy with manually checking (assuming no annoying warning lights on the dash) You'll get messages & bongs at start-up, them a constant glowing yellow warning light (which is a bit distracting at night). If you're handy with the codi...

The cold highlights a poorly battery.

Re: Final pre-deal advice please: 135i manual 2013

I had a 63 plate, and currently have a 14 plate with the new steering wheel and TPMS. There aren't any mechanical or performance differences between them. I do like knowing my tyre pressures live (live-ish, there's a lot of latency), but it can add cost if you want better / winter wheels. £15k sound...

Oh yeah, and the ash tray won’t close!
Do you suspect there's a coin stuck in there, or has the spring jumped out or become dislodged?

Removal is a real pain. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=213833

Re: Help an imposter out please!

pull the bonnet release twice F Series only, doesn't apply to E87. ----------------------- I'm not familiar with broken adjustment knobs or wobbly mirrors, they're not common/known faults, I suspect they simple need replacing. Can you pull the CC ID code (from the dash) for the passenger seat error...

Re: E87 key fob battery warning

If you have hands-free Comfort Access, it has a regular battery which needs changing periodically.

If it's standard, the dash should re-charge it.
