Re: 130I coolant

Could be as the mechanical pump on those is only £70 or so before discount... some have electrical pump as 130i but not sure which, even the cheap 130i pumps are usually around £150+ but best avoided imo

Re: 130I coolant

I personally wouldn't fit the cheapo pump as they are usually refurbished and often dont last long as many have found out, you might get lucky but i would/did just spend a bit more for a new Pierburg same fitted when new, also worth doing thermostat while its apart. Looking on ECP they only list the...

Re: What M3 front ARB for my E82 123d?

Ive got the E93 vert thicker front bar on my car which being a facelift has Epas, its very snug to Epas connector and had to move some of the cable shrouding to get it in there but all good now :) As Marco says some the thicker bars without waisted section give issues on Epas cars, next time im und...

Re: What M3 front ARB for my E82 123d?

Ive had both thinner E90 M3 Front arb and now stiffer E93 Front Arb on 2 of my 130's and while there is a slight improvement over stock with the E90 bar its not huge as bjt mentions, its certainly more noticeable with the e93 item on my current car but still not massive difference like you get with ...

Bargain this! brand new bumper for 2nd hand money :D Haider as stated in advert (are them eyes painted on :D) the bumpers are all same E81/E87 Lci and pre-lci as long as its Msport, only differences are if car has PDC or not and i think you can easily convert a non-PDC bumper with a few holes drille...

Re: My Suspension quest! 130i

I was wondering. I think the d1 springs on the rear (what mine has) are slightly softer than d0 springs on the pre fl car. So. Koni bump stops. Rear brace off a 3 door Rear subframe inserts D0 springs. B4 sport dampers. This should stop the bad ride without making it too soft.. does that sound a go...

Re: My Suspension quest! 130i

Hi Ian, I'm about half way through reading this thread  and I think I'm right in what I'm looking at for my ideal setup. So I'm on knackered m sport suspension at the moment and looking at refreshing /replacing. I do like a sporty ride and my weekly commute involves alot of a/b roads and long ...

Re: New E82 123d owner creating a track car - Input appreciated!

Ive run a totally stock 130i (same brakes as 123d) around Spa with only upgrade being some Carbotech Xp8 track pads along with Motul RBF600 fluid, had no issues with the car or brakes all day, also done same in a stock 135i coupe (although it does have the larger brakes) not an issue and probably be...

Re: 130i - inexpensive pads for road and track?

Oh yes plenty of big braking points at spa :) I was more on about where you are on power in lower gears and likely to spin rears wheels so rear brakes get hard time etc.

Re: 130i - inexpensive pads for road and track?

Buy cheap buy twice....or even three times  still at least you know track capable pads are not just the same as cheapo ECP version :).... hopefully the PF pads do ok but the Z-rated version are just fast road spec really so don't try and go too long on track between cool downs, should be ok if ...

Re: New E82 123d owner creating a track car - Input appreciated!

Its all in my thread ;) but as long as you get the Brembo calipers for 340mm disc (there is a larger 370/380 disc BMWP upgrade) then it all bolts directly on at the front end, you can get the larger disc version but getting wheels to clear can be tricky! Original flexi hoses can be used, calipers ha...

Re: 235 as opposed to 245 for more oversteer...

I have 225 wide michelin ps4 on my 8.5" rears and looks ok but I guess it depends on tyre brand as some are wider than others.
