Re: Sport trim suspension

A VIN check will show if it came with M-Sport suspension from the factory instead of the standard setup.

Re: Tyre Size Advice

I have the same wheels and a year ago swapped from 205/50R17 runflats to 225/45R17 normal tyres without any issues. Like you I found there was a significant price saving and more choice too. Car passed its MOT on Monday without any comment. You might want to check with your insurer they OK with fitt...

When you do get it open give the catch mechanism a thorough lube. Im sure others will be along with furth...

I've never got great results doin it myself, mainly struggle with water marks.

Does anyone have any step by step guides or tips they could share?
Plenty of advice in the Detailing section

Re: What Did You Do To Your 1 Series Today?

Took mine to KwikFit (yes I know some have a bad reputation but no complaints about my local branch) for a £25 MOT which it passed with no advisories. Happy with that on a 10-year old car.

Re: Need help to find a replacement part...

Could try forum sponsor Cotswold BMW. You can message them via the forum.
I wonder if the LCI (facelift) equivalent part is much different ???
Otherwise you could try Ebay or a car breakers like Quarry Motors.

Re: N47 Timing chain info thread *QUALITY ENHANCEMENT/RECALL ISSUED* - please read before posting

Its all a game of chance and we the owners dont know the odds. Only BMW have an idea of the failure rates. Yes the failure rates are likely to be 'statistically' small but if it happens to you its pretty disastrous. The early N47 cars are now not worth that much so if the timing chain snaps it could...
