Re: Slightly overfilled the oil...

Out of curiosity. what does the electronic dipstick give as a reading ? I find that always differs from the real dipstick.

Re: New Owner 120i M sport 5dr

Was the warning light no.13 on this list ?

http://bmwspecialistreading.co.uk/dash-light-guide/

Could indicate a flat tyre or just the tyre pressure monitoring system needs re-initialising. Obviously u need to check the pressures first.

Welcome to the forum.

Re: Warning Light confusing!

Can you post a pic up ?
As you say these warning indicators can be confusing.

Its not due a routine brake fluid change soon is it ?
Or maybe low brake fluid ??

Re: Hello. Some questions

Even if u dont have iDrive I think the principles are the same. ie. should wait for engine to warm up before taking reading via the stalk. Im pretty sure the owners manual says the reading can be accessed whilst driving or when stationary on level ground.

Re: Tyre Advice - RFT or NRFT ?

Right, I've taken the plunge MPS4 NRFT fitted 👍🏼 Next question is what pressures do people run them at ? I have gone up a size, Front - 225/40/18(88) & Rear - 255/35/18(94) Those front tyres really got a load index of 88 ? Im not familiar with the PS4's but sounds a bit low for an XL tyre. Your rig...

I never got the point of the boot release button on the fob at all. Even when it does work you still have to use the car's boot emblem itself to open it.

Re: BMW 123D 2012 REG Automatic: Rattling Problem

I seem to recall that the engine covers are known to rattle if they haven't been refitted properly/securely.
Dunno if its a simple case of that but no doubt others will be along with suggestions.

You certainly need a minimum number of posts (20) before you can put up a For Sale advert. Not sure about simply viewing the Classifieds tho. But you definitely need to be logged in to see them.

Re: Wanted: E81 in white

There is a Classifieds section but u have to be logged in to see it I think. Its the last but one section on the board list. For that kind of money u will be looking at an early example of the 3-door which was launched with the Facelift update about 10 years ago now. If considering a diesel do your ...

Re: brake pad newbie question

Your car is over 4 years old so should qualify for BMW's cheaper Value Service pricing. In my experience they often 'forget' this and quote full standard pricing instead. However you can check the pricing they have quoted on their own website https://www.bmw-service.co.uk/
