Cool, will keep an eye out for you mate :)

This will be my 4th trip, I'm super slow though, the track scares the crap out of me tbh.

Ok, I've just had agreement that I can do this soooo.....
I was about to book the circuit days 24-april for 370
anyone else fancy this? or going to something similar?
I think I'll take a few days and go to Bruges and maybe even Cologne.
I think the plan would be to get some pads of Tyrant and stick with PS4 tyres.
anyone else thinking of going or have a better idea?

There’s a few of us thinking about on this date , defo get some Xp8’s off Ian ! Amazing pads , PS4’s are a good rd tyre but nothing beats a good semi slick ! I’ve got Cup2’s and they are excellent tyres work well on the rd and are superb on track , rd tyres ps4’s Mpss are good for a couple of laps but then they just fall away the difference is huge.

right. now need to sort out accommodation, tunnel, pads and maybe think about sticking on some Nankangs for the trip and taking spare tyres.

You will love it mate !
We usually stay at haus Marvin or http://www.am-tiergarten.de/en/rooms-nuerburgring

If I was going nankangs I would try Ar1’s can’t fault Cup2’s tho even in the rain they perform well , my mate has trofeo R’s they are a bit more track focused.

Defo speak to Ian about pads tho Xp8’s /10’s are awesome !

for my first time there, it's too much to go for AR-1's.
I feel a bit like a dope for buying a new set of PS4's but all 4 tyres were illegal after my last trackday (front's shoulders where disintegrating and delaminating, rears were well past the wear indicators). maybe it's time to buy some track wheels and rubber.....

Mps4 will be fine. If you think about it, 2 Laps at a time is going to be 17-20 mins of driving (about a standard track day session) BUT your nerves are shot quicker at the ring than a normal track day when you don’t know your way around - the concentration required is unlike any track day so you get mentally drained quicker. I’d say you’d need a rest after 2-3 laps. Well, I would.

A member here can bosh an 8.15 in a 130i on Mps4 and ds2500 pads do there’s not necessarily a need for all the bits if you’re doing low lap count sessions. If you knew the track we’ll and could bosh out 5-6 laps at a time I’d upgrade all your bits.

I would consider the xp8’s though anyway. Squeaky as hell on day to day duties but boy do they haul the car up when hot.

Hope that makes sense.

I'd guess I'll be doing 2 lap sessions as it's my first time there. Need to find some reputable garage in North London to do a full corner weight ride height and geo setup before I go.

Nurburgring finally

Got my M3 rack in. Cost quite a lot of money to do. Won't be sure if it's worth it til Bedford. £100 for the rack, £140 for replacement pipes that were grotty, 360 for the labour and 90 quid for the geo.
Steering is quite heavy now as expected and not sure I've noticed the difference on the drive home.
Gonna stick with ps4. Got the xp8 pads. All set. Just need to bed the damn things in.

Dont know if its a bit far for you but I used Brunswick Automotive in Witchford, just North of Cambridge - Ive been in the modifying game for years and this is the first setup Ive ever been happy with, all done with string and weights rather than a monkey and a laser machine that he may/may not know how to use. Car was night and day different, inspires so much more confidence now :)

Im booked at Nur for the trackday on 26/10, was going to do the Circuitdays 24/04 but it sold out too quickly :(
