Car going for respray, spoiler colour opinions?

Post by drifterr » Mon Sep 25, 2017 9:56 pm

Evening all,

As the title says, my car is going in for front end and boot respray (rust around the handle/number plate lights...).
I'm going to go for the performance style spoiler.

Which colour though? Gloss black (all the exterior trim and kidney grills are gloss black) or body colour which is sedona red?

I've never seen a performance style or bmwp spoiler in person so hoping it isn't too big

Sedona red is (arguably) one of the only colours that can take black body trims without looking too Halfords, but painting the spoiler body colour avoids the non standard part looking like an afterthought.

I think my vote would be for body colour.

I tend to agree with you, I'm not sure about black and would prefer body color but at the same time not sure if body color will look right?
Maybe carbon would be a better option

I would definitely go with body colour.

Personally I would go gloss black and get your diffuser and wheels to match, gloss black grilles, trim around windows, wheels, diffuser and spoiler would all pull together to look good and contrast the Sedona red. :)

but if you have silver wheels and standard diffuser in grey, then my point doesn't work because there will be a miss match in colours.

just out of interest how much are they charging for front end respray? Or for that and boot if its not a broken down costing? Thanks
