Climate control shenanigans

Post by zalesLT » Tue Dec 12, 2017 12:15 pm

Hey guys,

not sure if there is an actual problem, but I'm sensing something is wrong. Got my E87 just a couple of months, so not sure if it was always the same: hot air is blowing almost all the time to the front window and legs whenever the climate control is set between 17 to max celsius, whether A/C is on or off. Now we have temperatures around zero outside, but still, sometimes you drive quite a long time with temperature set to 17 but you can feel it's getting hoter and hoter in the car. When the fans are set to auto, blowing intensity differs from time to time. No matter what temperature is set, I don't remember fans blowing cold or at least coldish air - it's always very warm or hot.

Is there some kind of temperature sensor which could have failed and now climate control can't detect actual temperature in the car?

Thanks in advance!
