coolant temp

Post by maxspeed » Sat Dec 16, 2017 1:33 pm

I have been monitoring the coolant temp for a last couple of days due to reduction in mpg. It is ranging from 96 to 99c. I am unable to get the temp to 100+.

Could old coolant cause a reduction in operating temp.

130i thermostats open at 97C, iirc.

If you boot it, the temp should drop dramatically.
