Right well ive been out today and had a good root around under the bonnet i found that the was what seemed to be a bad vac pipe off what i know to be the boost control valve as it looks exactly like the one i have in my TT, its situated by the egr valve and the pipe goes from it to under the egr cooler somewhere, so i cut the bad bit of pipe out as it was long enough and reconnected it back to the boost controller and made sure the ecu fault codes were all clear before i left and went for a good run. After about 10 mins DPF warning light back on the display so checked the fault codes and had a new one P14a1 i cleared it carried on driving and when i got home the code was back.

OUTCOME.....

I thought id write a little outcome for the result of this so anyone else can see what i did if they have the same symptoms mine had.

I replaced part number 7805152-01 (£19.99 plus £4.95 pp from Mister Auto) which is the exhaust pressure sensor and it seems to have cured the problem (fingers crossed) ive done about 30 miles and had no warning, i was getting a warning within 5 miles sometimes as soon as i started the car i got the warning but there was no pattern to the DPF warning.
