Any idea how much these alloys would fetch?

Post by wozzza72 » Fri Jan 19, 2018 1:27 pm

Hey guys

I had these alloys on my car, a 1 Series E87, when I bought it but I didn't like them so put the standard ones back on (they came with the car too). Now I'm looking to sell them and wanted to know what they were worth. They are 17", they come as a set of 4 and all of them need a refurb. The pics are a bit misleading as they look silver/chrome but they are actually light grey.

Thanks

I'm really not sure. How would I tell?

My guess would be reps.

Look like replica/fake e46 m3 wheels. Probably not even worth a refurb

This.

Hard for me to say it but I think he’s right (don’t tell him though lol)

The inside edges look very rough and badly made.

If you can get them refurbed for £250 you could maybe sell for them £350 or just flog em on eBay for £1 no reserve and see what happens. My guess is £90-100.

Where are you based? The wheels def need refurbing, depends how hand you are - for very little outlay you could give it a go yourself, i've done it myself on a few sets now.

Or theres a place in Birmingham that does a good refurb job of just 25 a wheel - and it seems cheap but the quality is good. If you are not too far away and are happy spending a 100 on them, you could sell them on ebay. A replica M3 wheel goes for between £50 - £70 per wheel or if in good condition maybe 250 the set.

I'd personally try giving it a go yourself, its not all that hard especially with the tyres already off.

Clean them. Sand them. Fill them where needed and spray. Take your time and the finish can be good.
