E82 headlight swap
Hi,
I’ve taken my bumper off to change my headlights.
I’ve seen the guide but this bit is a little unclear.
The headlights are loose but I’m unable to get it out of the support frame,
Any ideas?

Re: E82 headlight swap
You can loosen the headlight bracket to give a little more clearance.

E82 headlight swap
As bjt has briefly said the headlight bracket can be loosened, there are two torx bits that you can take out in the pic below.

The bottom one is a bit of a pain as it’s at an angle to reach it.
My piece of advice also is this.
Mark where that bracket sits before you remove the two torx screws otherwise your headlights could sit badly once you put bumper back on.
You could also measure off the car framework to the bottom of the old halogen light to get the correct height for the new depos.

I had the same problem and had quite a gap that needed sorting.

Thank you for this. I’ll make sure to measure it.Twenny wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2018 8:23 amAs bjt has briefly said the headlight bracket can be loosened, there are two torx bits that you can take out in the pic below.

Yeah that should work but I’d be very wary of knuckles and slipping as you need more force pushing than rotationalSlickz_jm wrote:Twenny wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2018 10:08 amYou have a few options.

Thank you, but it won’t let me see the photos because of third party blockingTwenny wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 6:00 pmWell after a 3 second google search -matthewtnh wrote:Is it handy enough to get the bumper off ? I've tried looking online to see a headlight swap but not having much luck

So that’s it?
You’re giving up?
Well if I was you, and I couldn’t find any other guide, and I wanted this information and photos, you know what I would do?
UNBLOCK IT MAN!!!!
Again, a 3 second google search shows you how to unblock Photo bucket so you can see the 3rd party photos.
