KYB shocks

Post by jimmy-120sport » Wed May 16, 2018 11:22 am

Are these any good? Can’t get bilstein B4S’s till September and have seen KYB equivalents for around the same price so thought I would ask

Or are Sachs shocks a better alternative?

Cheers

Jim

KYBs are OK - they are cheap and cheerful, I've put them on a couple of shopping cars, but I don't think they are likely to be as good as Billies.

I've used this company for lots of bits (and they seem to have B4s in stock at good prices:

I would prefer the B4’s bud but no one will have them in stock till September  that’s why I’m looking at alternatives

Have you checked that company - it's German stock.

OK...sorry, I'd not heard of B4S, I didn't know that Bilstein produced a different specs of B4 - I thought that the specs changed with the number, ie B4, B6, B8 etc.

I just had a look at the Bilstein website and there is no mention of a B4S.

Technically they aren’t called B4S’s, bilstein do a B4 shock for cars with either standard suspension (B4) or a car with sports suspension (B4S’s) I’m trying to get part numbers 22-144256 (front left) 22-144270 (front right) & 19-144238 (tears) but having no joy
