How did you do it? Changed the leather or painted? Do you have pictures of the whole process of change?
Hey,

Just did a complete interior swap, from one car to another. Changed complete seats, door panels, rear panels.

It's just about to remove everything and then install everything again, plus I removed complete interior to do a HiFi retrofit (wires had to go through the car...).

I kinda like that. Any idea where Santa might have acquired it?

The tag said from Santa, so I’m assuming his elves made it by hand, but they probably stole the design from

Just 10mm, nothing too silly but they sit really nice in the arches now Image

I fitted some H8 LED lamps to the headlights. Really transforms the look of the angel eyes/halos. Much more modern looking than the horrible orangey halogens.

Took me about 15 mins to do in the dark, whilst I was on my break at work. This is the kit I used Image

And that's the result, hard to take a decent pic at night but managed to get this Image

I'll get a daytime pic later when it's light.

Way to invalidate your insurance Mr badger with the front window tints.

Plates look good though.

If the front windows are more than 30% tinted not only is it illegal, but your insurance company would have every right not pay out, should you have an accident. Other than that, all you need is for some copper to be having a particularly bad day to pull you over and issue you with either an MS60 or CU20 and you'll find your insurance renewal somewhat painful. Likewise for your number plate (although that wont cause your premiums to increase).

Why bother?

This.

All windows are already 14% tinted with no tints at all so adding 30% takes you over the legal limit.

Not going to lie I tinted mine 3 years ago and liked how it looked, but some kind member pointed out not only had I invalidated my insurance but were I to be involved in a dangerous or fatal accident, wether it was my fault or not I could be prosecuted and imprisoned for dangerous driving because of my tints. You’re basically driving around with sunglasses on ALL the time. Would you drive around at night with sunglasses on? Of course you wouldn’t.

Image

If you’ve been paid out before with tints then I’m assuming it wasn’t your fault and someone else incurred all costs, or if not then you’re very lucky as they inspect to find ways of getting out of paying, had they found the tints you’d be 100% fooked.

And just because a repair company re tints your windows it doesn’t mean it’s legal.

I’m not telling you you’re a twat as it’s obviously your choice, but If you speed a lot, be prepared to be caught at some point. The same applies here too. You are now aware of the risks and legality of your tints. But for you, your potential fine is on show 100% of the time (unlike DPF delete for example)

Just saying.
