Hey all, brand new to BBBMW, first post here and everything.

This seems like a nice healthy active forum, so I've registered (I dont usually register on a forums, I'm normally more of a lurker so to speak).

So I dropped into Lincoln BMW yesterday, test drove and purchase a brand new M135. Luckily they had exactly what I wanted in stock so they are hoping to get the car to me by the end of next week. When I say they had exactly what I wanted...they had what I wanted a lot more, but managed to beat them down on price somewhat.

I'm trading in my 14 plate S3....it's a nice car, but the smile I had on my face after driving the M135 was amazing, I probably looked like an idiot, but who cares :0).

Colour: Blkack Sapphire
Upholstery: Black Dakota Leather
Added extras:
Carp packages: Driver comfort package (with front and rear parking sensors)
Professional media package
Run flat tyres (free option?)
Sports auto transmission
Ext folding mirrors (Anyone know if these can be extended and folded by from the key fob?)
Front seat heating
Harmon Kardon

Should get to choose my reg plate next week once the dealer gets their allotted 65 plates....

Really looking forward to this!!
M135i auto, Sapphire black, Black dakota, Full comfort package, BMW pro media package, Folding mirrors, Heated seats, High beam assist and Harmon Kardon HiFi
Previous cars: Audi S3 - Fiesta ST - 206 GTi - Escort RS

Sooo, after waiting over 2 months for arrival from Japan, clearing customs and sending it to the dealer lat week Wednesday for servicing, i'm finally getting my baby tomorrow :fest: :band:

White 116i
cloth seats
Business HU

So things i've ordered to do some mods:

Depot V2
Smoked side repeaters
custom bmw logo door lights
car mats with M logo
Custom seat covers (collecting those in 3 weeks time)
Custom speaker box to be fitted and enclosed n the trunk
12'' Kicker bass speaker
Zeus amps

P.S. I had initially planned to upgrade to a professional CIC HU with i drive, however, to date, only the dealer can provide installation of that mod and it will cost me approximately 4000 quids to buy and install so that is on hold for now...until i can get it done cheaper

As what to the words of what a Jamaican singer named Garnet Silk sang around 20 years ago "new found love is like a brand new toy, it fills you up, and let you burst with joy"...i can't wait for tomorrow to come!!!!!!

Waiting for specially ordered 118d M sport coupe, titanium silver with black leather and aluminium trim. Should be picking it up mid september. Dealer offered £1500 more for my ultra low mileage (7K miles) 07 Ibiza Tdi sport than anyone else.
At one point was thinking about a Ford! Must have been going off my trolley
Just hope its here before 25th June as its our transport to Malaga this year, should be nicely run in by the time its back in the UK..

Hi everyone,

Ive been camping on here occasionally for some time, looking at various bits of the forum depending on what I needed at the time. I've decided to join as am keeping my E87 130i Msport for the foreseeable as I just bloody love it! Sparkling graphite, pretty standard, although considering some mods..

Any shouts on the most subtle to do as a starting point gratefully received.. !

:-)

Picked my 2010 E82 135i up today. N55 DCT. Sapphire black with Boston lemon heated leather, xenons, pro nav etc. Bought from BMW so has warranty. 47k on clock.

Just sold my F10 M5. Was great but building plans meant it had to go. Plus I only do a few k miles per year so really couldn't justify it.

Pleasantly surprised so far. For a 7yr old car, the cockpit is great. Had the stealer update the cic and nav. Audio is base level so will be changing that, and a few other minor things like adding dark line rears etc. Will prob go to Birds for the lsd/suspension package, but most likely not until after the house is done.

I really do think decent 135i coupe's are going to appreciate in the long term. I think this could well be a keeper. At worst, I'm not going to lose what I did on the M5 - the car didn't even cost that much

Ps. I'm on the hunt for a BMW PE!

Cheers
Will

Hello and welcome

Excellent choice. I think you'll like the 135i, very different from your M5 and you can't resent the depreciation.

You probably know about the Golf Tee mod, but if not, it's a very cheap way to get a bit more growl for 10p...or less!

I didn't want to leave the flap actuator open to the elements, so I just kinked the pipe and wrapped a cable tie around the pipe to hold it kinked. A 2 minute (if that) mod - perfect!

I drove a friend's 135i the other day. His car is his 2nd 135i and this one has a BMW PE. He commented that the drone is annoying. I didn't drive it for long enough to be niggled, but the exhaust noise was much more intrusive than on my car.

Very nice, gearbox and nice colour.

If I had gone DCT i’d Done the whole Birds package. Big change coming from the M5, but I bet you’re preferring the 135i size re B roads
135i E82 2011 Alpine White, Birds B1, Michelin PSS
Volvo C30 D4 R - Daily
VW Golf MK5 R32 09 - Gone and miss the traction.
123d E87 59 - Gone
Volvo S40 T5 Polestar 08 - Gone - Missed as mega comfortable
Seat Leon Cupra 03 - Gone

Cheers Guys!

Yes the size difference is much better on smaller roads - which is appreciated by both me and the missus. She never drove the M5 - flat out refused (saved the alloys though, so fine by me  ).

I'm now busy reading up on the myriad of retrofit options - I need to get 6NR+6FL sorted asap!

Before you throw money at Birds, read THETYRANT's suspension quest - you cxan do just as well, if not better, for a fraction of the outlay.

Birds has the UK dealership for the Quaife diff, but there are other options and the money you save by fitting, for example, Konis and M3 LCAs would go a long way towards paying for your diff installation.
