finishing pad advice?

Post by drifterr » Sun Jun 19, 2016 11:37 am

Afternoon all,

So I used my mates machine polisher yesterday (nothing fancy just the halfords one) with one of the finisher pads that came with it which clearly wasn't the best...
BUT even with that pad the finish is amazing!
What is the best pad to use? Product I'm using is R222 concours wet look wax.

Any advice will be appreciated

If you're applying a wax do it by hand. If you are using a finishing compound then use a meguires black pad. Depends what the Halfords machine is.
Previous: MG F20 125i MSport, Manual, Xenons, Interior Comfort Pack
Now: AW F20 LCI 120d MSport, Sports Auto, Black Panel Display, Ferric Grey Alloys, Sun Protection Glass, Strut Brace, K&N Air Filter, H&K Tweeters and Mids

I mean for buffing! I'll probably have to buy a DA polisher as this one is just a rotary polisher I think and uses massive pads.
