You don't fancy the current 340i Shadow Edition? There appear to be good discounts to be had at the moment
Not really looked tbh Gary, how does the 340i M Sport stack up against the m235i in the handling & permance dept?

Might arrange a test drive!
They could wack an M badge in front of the current 340/440 as the M on the 140/240 is just there for Marketing there isn't much difference compared to a normal M sport car

So the only differences are 6hp which is what jusifies the M and a slight modification that allows a tiny bit of extra camber.

So the new G series car won't be my different in spec compared to the rest of the range as the current 3/440 cars
Apparently the new m340i/d will have a unique body kit and performance upgrades compared to the rest of the m sport 3s.

I'm looking at changing to a 4dr, just a bit horrified by the depreciation and residuals for a 340i.

Even for a car with hardly any options (42k) on BMW's website, the residual value after 3 years is just 15k! I guess this explains why the PCP plans have 7 grand of support to offset the hit.

I assume the actuaries at BMW think the G20 is going to be a much better platform that will as a result decimate the F30 prices by 2019/2020

wow that is low! Would be interesting to see how a TRL quote would stack up in that case

Outside of like minded people on forums like this, there isn't much demand for large engine petrol or diesel models. The G20 will be no better once supply overtakes the initial demand and the usual discounts and incentives become available.
Current - M240i 8AT

My 440 is 49k list before discount and it's GFV after 4 years and 32k miles is just over 16k - the massive discount helps a lot

Like the unique mirrors on the 140 and it's unique front bumper (lack of fog lights)

I would of preferred a 340 over the 140 but the current offers were coming out at £550ish a month.

If this new model is coming then hopefully we will see some great deals like they did on the outgoing 5..

I'm going to arrange a test drive next couple of weeks and speak to TRL about discounts.

Will feedback when I know more!

I drove an S4 last weekend, liked it more than expected. Pinning 1st gear in the wet is an odd feeling. Downside is the aloof sensation from all the controls and a slushbox auto to remove involvement from driving.

Great family car in avant form though.

I am finding this with the M135, very difficult to shift them
BMW don't help the second hand market with massive discounts and constant refreshes tbh, it's all weighted to keep you in the system. Not worth trying to shift it privately....trade it in, get a new one, repeat cycle. Doubt I'll pcp again tbh

On topic though, the M340i will likely be a belter
