i May be colour ignorant or something but I still cant see it? the last picture I can sort of see a difference in shade of the door and rear quarter but in person i couldnt ever see it tho I did find the paint is patchy, I dont think id get a frozen/matte car again. tho it was different and had alot of admiration when at car meets.

But never had any issues with the m3 it was driven every day i had it (or near enough) and I covered a good 16-17k Miles over the time of owning it. As I've said brilliant car and anyone who wants something that feels special the m3 is the way to go!

I went through the tyres very quickly on the m3 as i like to drift ALOT so if driven abit more reserved I reckon a set a year would probably suffice!

The C63
41k Miles
2013 Registered (on a 62 plate though - not sure how that works)
Its alot more comfy than the m3 but I reckon the m3 would be faster on a track.
The sound is something else just pops and bangs, something i thought the the m3 missed.
I also miss the auto box in the m3, the c63 is still very quick but you cant jump from say 3rd to 5th it has to select the gear individually.

all in all im happy with the c63, keep this for a year or so and as soon as the new alfa quad's drop to sub 50K mark for a decent spec one I think I'll have to make a change!

Anyone else looking at a new car?

To be fair to the OP, digital pictures of a car can show vast colour differences, but in real life are no noticeable.

My MW 240 does this, any pictures I take shows the bumpers being a shade darker than the body panels (as do most plastic bumpers), but in real life you can hardly see any difference at all.

I work with digital images all day and you can get these sort of colour issues, especially on pictures of cars.

I would of expected them to put the car back up for £30,000+ given that It's hard to even find a M3 Frozen ed online, I think I've seen 1 that is actually a frozen edition and not just resprayed in a frozen colour. Saying that its also higher mileage than any of the others with it getting on for 70k.
You know frozen silver was an option from factory... they didn't just come as part of the edition cars?

Same with all Limited Edition E92 M3's all colours were available from factory...

Plus Frozen colours are just normal BMW colours with a matt 2k lacquer over the top. (In this case Silverstone blue with matt lacquer)

Close to pulling the trigger on an LE500 car, shame about the lack of comp pack, but a comp pack retrofit is always an option.

After all the talk of Mlites not selling and being worthless whilst the M3 Frozen was worth £34,500, and rising, it's still sitting at the dealer.

They've reduced the price a few times and it's still sitting there 4 months later.

If the OP really did get £27,500 as a trade in the garage are taking a hit on this car. Already £1000 less than paid before negiotation, preparation, warranty, overheads and costs.

Something must be putting people off.

I see this car is still for sale. The first dealer discounted it a few times before it immediately ended up at another dealer for more money.

That's a long time to be up for sale. They must surely realise the reason it's not selling.

And what might that be?

The dodgy paint job. Four sets of photographs now and it always stands out.

They only need one blind (literally) buyer.

It's probably harder to sell a frozen car then a normal coloured car also?

I've no idea.

George kept telling us our Mlites were worthless and his frozen M3 was rare, valuable and desirable.

Everything has a price. If it's not selling after all this time then the car isn't worth the price. The other dealer got down to £25k before punting it.

I'd say so, majority of car buyers wouldn't go for a frozen colour and I for one certainly wouldn't. It's an acquired thing.

I'd go as far to say that, if the colour was gloss silver instead of frozen then it would have sold by now.
