Do you have to use spacers, to fit big wheels?

sorry for the delay in replying mate!

thanks!

no I haven't fitted spacers. had to cut some of the lining from the inner arch (foamy stuff) - did not need to get rolled. no rub even with pram etc in back. Car is actually lower now :D

Just popped these 17" Rizo Glory wheels onto my 1 series over the weekend, I'm pretty pleased for non-OEM wheels :)
However it is making me reconsider the Eibach lowering springs I was looking at. I think dropping 3-4cm at the rear would cause rubbing issues if I have a couple of fatties in the back :(

Hey all, 1st post but have been lurking this forum as a guest for at least 6 month so thanks for all the great tips and advise from everyone!
We specced these on our 1st 1'er 3 years ago (to be replaced in 2 weeks) and even though they do look great on the SE and are quite rare (at least where I live) they are a NIGHTMARE to clean, be prepared for scraped knuckles and lots of swearing should you choose these :lol:

Did you need any mods to fit them? eg. arch rolling, spacers?

Been offered a set cheap and might take up the offer.

I love the X3 wheels wonder if they do those in a 18"!!
Also like the SE with the Msport coupe 18" wheels looks good but think you should get some Eibach springs fitted though your bit high! lol!

I love them too! BMW only make them in 19". 8.5x19 ET46 and 9.0x19 ET51, which fits the 1-series quite nicely. I wonder if they are heavier than other 19 inch wheels since the are made for an "offroader".

Thats a shame 18" and They'd have been perfect! I'd imagine they'd be pretty hefty as they have to withstand rocks and bumps etc.!!

Here it says 15kg: http://www.dasi-tire.de/index.php?a=17453" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
No weights for this one in felgenkatalog, but similar size wheels for the x5 can weigh 16-17kg so I guess 15kg would be "good"... still that would be an extra 30kg of jolting and flywheel weight on your corners compared to a lightweight set-up...
