Three kits available.

66212288544 is the front camera.

66212288543 is front and rear camera.

And an upgrade kit is available to add the rear camera if just the front has been fitted previously.

Interesting - why doesn't the rear camera cable (H) take the shorter route through the roof lining? i.e. the same route as for sharkfin GPS and radio cables?

Seems a reasonable price - who's going to be the first to try one?

No, not me this time.

Ease and time of installation I would have thought as it's a retrofit.

It's a lot easier through the roof lining - even with a sunroof fitted.

Much less cable that way, too.

Are you getting one?

I spotted one in a 3er today and it activated when I walked towards it and that drew my attention to it. A blue led flashed so it's a good visual deterant . I will need to read up on the full specs but am very tempted as I like the oem kit.

Did you manage to get any pictures of it?

I hate some of the cameras that are huge.

Not sure of exact dimensions, but Bowker BMW did a little review of it on YouTube. you can clearly see the size of it there (and its pretty large).

Review here

Overall it has nice features but looks a bit big for my liking.

You couldn't go through the rooflining on the E88, and this looks like it's an option on all models.

Yes, point taken - just a case of optimising production, then.

Would you have a rear camera on an E88?

That's why you can buy just the front cam on its own :)

Would be top notch if DIY, but I haven't had a chance to read it through yet.
