Rear bumper idea

Post by JoshyCats » Wed Sep 07, 2016 9:24 pm

Hey guys,

Looking for your thoughts on some potential plans.

I currently have a m look front bumper on my e82.

I feel the rear now needs updating to match the front.

I initially wanted to get the m look rear bumper, and then get the exhaust and pipes done to have two larger single exhausts on each side 'INSTEAD, of the two on each side - quad exhaust the 1M has. ( I'm running a 120d so quad is dumb, but is the two singles on each side also dumb?)

Now I'm re thinking and swaying towards the m sport bumper with a nice diffuser and new dual exhaust tips.

The first idea was to try and have a unique rear end to the car but seems more work...

Gimme your best guys

MR PITT (I think that's his name) has a red coupe with a quad exhaust. Looks good :). I'll try and get some pictures.

Dual pipes either side looks less cluttered

I like that, got a modern sort of touch with it similar to the Mx35i.

Nooooo why encourage him T? don't even think about it!!! Lol

Plus nobody wants a rear end like mine!!!

I love the dual exhaust, very M135-esque and I've not seen many if any E82's with this set up.

I say go for dual exhaust and you can still have a dual exhaust Rieger diffuser like mine as well, that would look incredible IMO.

just saw this - I have the quad set up from Hamann, (already on car when purchased) but I do very much like that dual set up - and think it would more acceptable on a 120d as you say... (a 1m overtook me the other day and I cringed knowingly that the true quad car owner was probably smirking at me) :)  :P
Now: 135i Msport coupe, 2008, Autovogue Quad pipes, Hamann diffuser, K&N
Gone: 330d Msport coupe, Sparkling Graphite, 2008, Stage 2, DPF removal,

Personally like the dual exit look, quads should stay with the M. The 135i should have been duals like the 335i. And yes I know it was a homage to the 2002.

The 135i was a homage to the 2002? Are you sure? Do you have proof?

The only homage to the 2002 that I know of, is the M2 based one.

AFAIK, the 1xx or 3xx has nothing to do with a 2002 homage.
