M135i Alcantara wheel

Post by scholesy » Thu Apr 06, 2017 8:22 am

Morning, new to the forum as I have just got a 2012 m135i, I'm looking to fit an alcantara wheel from the 2014 onwards models, I'm told it is an easy switch, but need the wheel and the airbag to match, could someone please enlighten as to the best place to source one of these lovely things?

The airbag is usually the expensive bit, keep an eye out on eBay / Quarry Motors.

Most people go to Royal Steering Wheels for an Alcantara retrim (exchange), they'll make you anything you want.

I would go for a retrim but I think by the time I get a standard facelift wheel and get it trimmed it'll cost more than a genuine alcantara wheel would.

Thanks for that, I prefer the non M version as the carbon wouldn't really match the dark wood dash on my car, this wheels looks a bit too cheap but the seller feedback looks very good, anybody had any experience? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-M-Sport-A ... Sw9mFWLORS

A re-trim is only about £130 from royal Steering wheels, any old knackered wheel of the same type is fine for exchange:
