2014 1 series sat nav prob

Post by Faye » Fri Jun 01, 2018 10:43 pm

Hi need some help/advice. Recently bought my 1 series sat nav was working fine until recently but now when i try and use it i get the message cant calculate route. Have tried different destinations and get the same message. I have tried holding the radio button for 30 secs and re booting it but that didnt work. I'm not sure if its a coincidence but i did eject and throw away a copied disk from the cd player ... does the 2014 1 series need a sat nav disk? Is that what ive binned? Or could this be a diff problem?
Any help appreciated.

You shouldn’t need a disk for it to work, I’d suggest getting it checked at bmw

Try this:
In order to fix this issue, all you have to do turn off the engine and turn it back on while holding the volume button for about 30 seconds. After that, take your car for a quick drive around the neighborhood, trying to do a circuit that mimics the figure 8, to calibrate the car’s compass. That’s about it. Problem solved!
