I didn't question it, but looking again it looks like I can reuse my existing lower trim! Thank you you just saved me some money in this already expensive conversion  did you take the power feed and Earth at the head unit connector too? It does seem like the sensible way to do it, with a removable emulator.

You talking about the trim that will go round the CIC - this will cost you £20 from BMW. Your existing trim won't fit.

Yes, I tapped into the live & ground radio wires for the power & also the CANs.

Managed to find the part number for a facelift LCI dash trim: 51456976847

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpar ... Id=51_6713

Just needed to put in a newer 2011 model of E88/E82 into realoem to get the full list of dash trims.

Has anyone actually completed this, my factory fit idrive has no power coming up the white plug to the flip up screen, where does the power supply ( White plug under screen) come from

Hello V-spec
I was wondering how you connect the screen? Did you make an external harness for the screen and idrive controller? I know there is two plug housing on the screen, one for the comunication/signal kabel from cic Nav HU and the black 12pin plug housing, porbly for power/signal kabel. But how did you get power to the 12pin plug on the screen? And how did you connect the I-drive controller, wich has a 4pin plug housing i believe, and how does it communicate with the cic nav HU?

Is there any wiring diagrams out the for the whole wiring part for cic, screen and I-drive controller? If i need plugs and kabels, where can i buy this?

Thanks in advance

Impressive work on this guys!

If I have a 2007 car with a CCC Pro already installed is this job a lot easier, is custom wiring still required?

Thanks
Jason
