No I have just sent a RFP to Cotswold first, and if they can deliver quick I'll get my local guy to fit plus local alignment. I guess the added front lat grip will neutralise the car or did you have to find any additional rear camber (not sure that's even possible nor what it comes with as std?). Without a slippy diff I don't particularly want to compromise traction or stability under braking by having too aggressive a rear camber yet I wouldn't the car to be too oversteery. Also, what toe do you advise ?
I am pretty sure to fit Yokis Advan 105 too at the front to scrub them before the track day season...

I'm running -1.8 camber at the back currently (plenty of adjustment back there), and basically zero front Toe (just a tiny smidge of Toe in).

Pretty neutral into corners now, switching to oversteer on the way out at my discretion.

I like to have a lot of confidence the the front end or I get a bit spooked tbh. The back end I can (more or less) sort out myself.

Keep us updated how you get on with the Advan 105's, I hear they're wonderful in the dry.

Any torque values for fitting the LCAs ?
Yes, you need to dismantle the M4 Reg Rod for one of the ball fittings (which you fit on with an M6 Nyloc or similar). You reuse your existing Reg Rod. All will become obvious once you see all the bits in front of you.

I think the inner bolts were about 100Nm, and the outer nuts about 165Nm? Double check that!!
Hello Sire, it's frog here. Right - I have the parts (great service from Costwold).

So do I remove one of the black parts that are "press pinched" in the tube ? If so, which one ? One of the threaded bolts is longer than the other ?

Or do I simply remove the metal bolt out of the rubber bit ? And if so which one ?

And then ? When does the M6 come into it ?

Cheers

Nick

Hey Bud, you need to pop the ball joint (with the longest thread) out of the rubber cup.

Once removed, you fix that to your near side LCA using your M6 nut:

You're now ready for fitting. :)

Ah crap, it seems Photobucket is down currently?!

Oh, and remember to note/mark the height of your headlight beams before you start swapping arms (I've got a 'favourite' wall). The beam will be too high after fitting, but it's easily adjustable back to correct height with a 5 or 6mm Allen key through the Slam Panel.

Might be my own nick-name for the horizontal panel that goes between the headlights?!

The headlight adjusters can be turned via access holes.

Cheers. All ready for Saturday. The alignment place are asking if camber can be adjusted from underneath or using the struts under the bonnet ?

Just giving honest feedback to y'all. :) I'm not upset at all, but my gut reaction is it won't be a measurable improvement (on my dodgy phone app at least).

They've not obviously robbed any engine/exhaust roar, so not a step backwards, imo. Might be time to have a play with some closed cell foam over my rear arches though, or maybe just quieter tyres.... :chin:

The inserts have only made a small improvement tbh, not as big a change as on my E87 despite them being the stiffer Black shore. Probably partly down to only fitting the lower halves.

The stock bushes are solid on the sides already, these inserts prevent excess fore/aft slop. I'm not too sad for £93 though, unless they fail my M20 noise test....
