Mark.

Sorry digging up an old post, but theres not many silver hatches on here so love seeing what others have done.

How long did it take for your diffuser to dry? Im interested in doing it but rarely get 24 to let it dry
No worries :)

Plasti dip dries pretty quick, its touch dry in 30 minutes if not quicker...but to really dry thourougly it takes some hours...i left it to dry overnight to be sure.
I have to say though it doesnt look as good any more now as it did back then!! It scratches more easy then normal paint does...but the big advantage ofcouse is price and you can tear it off and re do it in a heartbeat!

But i have decided to propper paint mine in the near future...to get some more glossy effect and finish it with a tough varnish or something simular...

Finally did some dry testing with the whiteline inserts!!

All i can say is wooowwww what a positive difference this makes!!

Gone is the light swaying at high speeds...car settles immediately when thrown into a sharp bend...high speed braking super stable !!

Top mod for very little money!

happy chappy...again! :D

Would it be possible to put a clear coat over the plasti dip ... that would give a nice shine and protect the plasti dip. If you've got some left the cost would only be a can of clear coat :)

No mate,i did put 2 coats of clear gloss over the black plasti dip...looked fine a year ago...but with all the dirt and winter crap the shiny effect went away faster then i hoped it would...

I just stripped the diffuser this morning and am now proper painting it in glossy black!!
I'm also doing the lower m bumper grill/mash while i am at it...so all will be nice and freshly done soon...
Here after 1 coat :

Not he best picture but you get the idea...

Will upload pictures when finished and put back on the car !

313's look ace!
If you don't mind me asking, where did you purchase them and how much were they?
