The only one left, purely aesthetic of course, not to mention personal choice, would be to put some black grilles on it and they'd finish it off perfectly for me. I see you got rid of the 'M' coloured blades in your nearside grill which appeared in one or two of your previous pictures. I had those on my previous car and wouldn't go back down that route again, as although they were a sort of novelty factor initially, they only drew attention from 'M' purists, which I quite understand

Smashing pics though and the 130i has to be one of the few remaining decent 1ers of it's day , so congratulations and hope you continue to enjoy having fun with it  :beerchug:
Appreciate the kind words!

Yes, M stripes didn't last long... lol and I've been in 2 minds about the black grills forever as the chrome is unique to 130i and matches my 269M rims too! I have a spare set of grills so may as well spray them black and fit them - can always switch back.

Keen to get these M3 suspension bits on ASAP and see how the drive is transformed. Really would love a Quaife but not at new pricing and there aren't too many secondhand items floating around over here in Aus...

I also got some new shoes on Saturday - Bridgestone has a for 3 deal going currently.

RE003 - 225/40/18 + 255/35/18 for $878 fitted. Have only driven 2km on them so can't report back yet but should have a bit more wet grip than the worn R-S3s!

BMS Short throw clutch stop. I had to remove one spacer to get enable the car to start with clutch engaged.

Overall, the BMS spacers seem very high quality and the looks are improved greatly. It still looks "factory" but just better. The clutch stop removes a little bit of travel but I guess it won't really make a difference until fast shifting on a mountain run.

25.04.17

Suspension upgrades have gone in:
- E9x M3 front upper and low arms
- E9x M3 front sway bar
- Nolathane rear bushes

I've only driven her home and am awaiting time to get a wheel alignment before driving much more so can't comment too much. Rear definitely feels firmer and there's slightly more NVH from the bushes but not major. Will report back after first drive following alignment.

Collected my Dad's Clio V6 from service when I dropped off my 130i at Renotech the other week. The only 2 RWD n/a 6-cylinder hot hatches I can think of!

Wheel alignment specs - I didn't make any special requests. Car feels good but next time I might do more research and ask for more camber given I now have the M3 control arms in there. You can see they're still way outside the manufacturers guidelines which is good:

Looking good as always ! Maybe get a set of camber plates from Thetyrant ( Ian ) ? I've got a set of dinan ones and I've got 2.3 degrees camber and I pretty sure Ian's will give the same results.
